Story
Maple is a sweet, sweet girl who loves to go for walks, runs, and play fetch outside and she loves to snuggle. She is 1 year and 3 months old. We rescued her when she was a puppy, she and her siblings were found in an unsafe home, and we have had her for a little over a year. She is spayed and up to date on shots as of last month. She will come with a year supply of heart guard which I just purchased, a large bag of food, dog bed, and all of her favorite balls and chuck-it for playing fetch. We are heartbroken that we need to rehome Maple. We wanted her to be our family pet so badly, however she does not get along with our senior bulldog. She has gone after him and bit him over a piece of food he’s found a handful of times and she does not let go of him until pulled off. We do believe Maple should be in a home where she is the only pet. She is otherwise a FANTASTIC dog. Could probably use training on being with dogs. But we have a baby and young kids and have this issue.

Meet Roxy, our sweet and loyal 7-year-old companion who has been our best friend through thick and thin. She’s the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room, always wanting to be by your side. Though she can be a bit timid when meeting new people, once she warms up, her gentle and loving nature shines through. Roxy thrives in a calm, patient home where she can feel safe and loved because once she trusts you, she’ll be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your most devoted friend. We are looking for a happy healthy home.

Story
Cali is a 1yr old spayed female Aussie mix. She weighs 40 lbs. We pulled Cali from our local shelter after she was picked up as a stray. Cali is a happy, friendly and outgoing girl. She loves romping in the play yard with her doggy friends . She does have some puppy energy but does calm down and just likes to hang with you. She is learning some basic commands and some good manners. She would love to be your walking or hiking partner. She appears to be house trained. She is great with other dogs and children. I think with work she would do okay with cats. She is up to date on shots and wormed. She is already spayed. The adoption fee is $250.00. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419-591-6621 . She is being fostered in Liberty Center , Ohio. When emailing please include information about you and your family including other pets.

Story
Apollo (Appa) is a good dog, gentle for the most part (he does like to play and is oblivious to his size) and has done well with kids, other dogs (after he gets used to them), and cats. He's a 4.5 year old Aussie mix and up-to-date on shots. Apollo has Canine Epilepsy and takes quite a few meds to keep his seizures under control. The meds help for the most part, but occasionally he still has an episode. He's not neutered since he had seizures before we could take him in. He'd do best with a fenced in yard where he can run. Our family is growing, and we find we can't give him the time and care he needs anymore, but he's a good dog and we'd love to see him go to a loving home.

Story
Alder is an extremely sweet, quiet, shy boy. He is the dog version of an introvert. He is gentle and sticks to himself and is great with other dogs of all sizes and with cats. He doesn't engage much with them thought as he prefers to do his own thing. He has to be the most low maintenance and chill dog I've ever had in the rescue out of hundreds of dogs. He is hesitant with people he doesn't know but never aggressive. Not an ounce of aggression. He was listed as a pit bull mix at the shelter when he was smaller and still a younger puppy but now that he is an older puppy (about a year) it's obvious that he is not a pittie but looks more like a border collie. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative) Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95
