Story
We’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome our two Australian Shepherds, Max and Cooper. They are brothers, best friends, they are 5 years old .After welcoming our newborn, we learned that our baby has significant allergies. We explored every option. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, it’s become clear that keeping Max and Cooper in our home isn’t safe for our child. This decision has nothing to do with them. They are loving, loyal, energetic, and everything you could ever want in dogs. Our only comfort is knowing that the right home is out there for them—ideally together—where they’ll get the attention, space, and love they deserve. If you’ve ever had to make a decision like this, you know it’s not made lightly. We ask for understanding, compassion, and help in sharing their story so they can land somewhere truly special.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Susie is a beautiful Aussie mix. She is a 2 years old and is 70lbs. Susie is fearful when meeting new people and takes time to be comfortable. It may take multiple meet and greets for Susie. She would do best in a quiet house with a consistent routine. She does jump up on people when she is happy to see them. She loves to play with toys and other dogs her size with proper introduction. She does love to chew Nyla bones and antlers. She will bark when someone comes to the door and she sees things in the yard. She is housebroken and knows some basic commands. Susie is not good with cats. She is an active dog but calms down in the house. Susie would love a fenced in yard to play in. She will bark at things she sees when outside in the yard. She would not be good in an apartment. If you are interested in Susie fill out an application. HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.&#226&#128&#139 Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a    $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee    to change information.   Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 1:33 pm

Story
Nimbus is a mixed‑breed boy who most closely resembles a Bohemian Spotted Dog, and his personality is every bit as lovely as his looks. He’s gentle, kind, goofy, and incredibly affectionate — the type of dog who loves to hold hands, give kisses, and curl up right beside you. He’s wonderfully social with other dogs and often acts as a calming buffer for pups who can be a bit selective. Smart and eager to learn, Nimbus thrives on training and is especially motivated by play; his favorite toy is a stuffed duck that quacks like the real thing. He’s expressive, full of personality, and truly wants to be someone’s best friend. Because he’s easily startled by quick movements and feels nervous around small children, he would be happiest in a calm home without them. With the right family, Nimbus will be the most loyal, loving, and joyful companion — the perfect boy waiting for his perfect match.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Dolly has completely forgotten that she was neglected, skinny and completely shut down with nine pups depending on her to survive. From day one, she has lived with one of our experienced fosterers and dozens of rotating roommates of all different ages and sizes. She's very social and affectionate and is very well behaved on walks or just hanging out. She uses a doggy door into a fenced in yard. She does great on car rides and has a very passive personality. She hasn't barked at her foster home, so does she even know how? She is a perfect playmate for pretty much anything playful. She's had 5 different applicants who decided against adoption at the last second. That is because Dolly is waiting patiently for her special someone that we know is waiting on her. Now is the time to make this beautiful lady a part of your family. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
