MEET RITA Hi! I’m Rita - a 1.5-year-old Australian Shepherd with a big heart and an even bigger love for my people. I’m what you’d call a velcro dog — I’ll probably follow you around everywhere you go, even the bathroom! I'm pretty shy at first so I do need slower introductions but my foster mom says I’m SUPER smart and really easy to train. I still need a bit more training, so I hope my forever family can help me with that! Here are some more things about me: -Potty-trained AND crate-trained -58 pounds -I already know many commands like sit, stay, bed -I don’t bark a lot, only if I’m super excited! -Not food motivated -I would love a big yard with lots of room to run -Dog friendly, I live with 3 dog siblings Because I’m an Aussie, I do have strong herding instincts. I may try to herd by circling or nipping, especially when I’m excited or unsure. Structure, exercise, and mental stimulation are a must for me! Meet Bingo, a seven year old red tri Aussie who finds himself in need of a new home through no fault of his own. Bingo is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is not in the ARPH program; we are screening homes for the owner. Bingo is a friendly boy that loves fetching, either balls or Frisbees, and will bring them back. The evaluator referred to him as “a very nice dog”. Bingo would be best with a female canine companion rather than a male, and no cats. He was raised with children who are now ages 9 and 10, but he might be a bit too exuberant for younger ones. He's a sturdy 65 pounds, so restricted food intake and an exercise plan would be in order. He rides well in a crate in a car and is well-behaved at the vet's. Bingo has not lived inside so is not housetrained. But it shouldn't take much to do that; adult dogs normally housetrain much faster and easier because they are physically capable of holding it. He walks well on leash and knows sit but would benefit from further training. He's very smart and willing to learn. This sweet boy has a lot of potential and would love to be your new best friend. He will be very devoted to his person.
