Saint is a 2 year old Labrador retriever/ Australian Shepherd mix who found himself in a Louisiana shelter after being seized from a cruelty case in November 2023. Set to be euthanized, ASF rescued him in the final hour. While Saint does not have the typical looks of an Aussie, he certainly shares the typical Aussie energy, herding instincts, and affectionate disposition. Also, the signature chilling blue eyes. Unfortunately, Saint also had heart worm disease. After several months of medical care and strict crate rest Saint is ready to find his forever home! Saint’s current foster family, located in Pittsburgh, Pa, adores him. He is super cuddly and loves to play with his foster brother. Saint is house trained, crate trained, and must be in a cat free home. Saint can’t wait to meet you! Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! Hi, I’m Samson! I’m about 11 months old and I’m a cattle dog/aussie mix. I’m about 40 pounds and already neutered. I’m both potty and crate trained. I haven’t had the most fortunate start to my life. I’ve been adopted and returned twice and have been in my foster home since September. I really like it here but I’m starting to wonder if my forever family is ever going to find me. I need a special family who can be really patient with me. I’m very wary of strangers but men are especially scary to me. I take a lot of time to warm up so I need a family that’s willing to give me the time and energy that will help me be successful. I love other dogs and must have at least one other confident dog in my forever home to help me be more comfortable. I love to play rough so a playful dog would be awesome! Once I get comfortable, I’m a typical puppy that loves to play and cuddle. I promise I’m so worth it if you give me a chance!
