Story
From Hamlet's foster mom: Hamlet is an affectionate, loving dog. He takes instruction very easily and is food/treat-motivated. He loves sleeping in a crate overnight, and whenever we leave the house for an extended time, is happy enough to be in there during the day even though his older foster brother is not crated. Hamlet has gotten along with anyone who visits, contractors at our house, other dogs at the dog park, loves to be outside (and goes out often daily), and does a great job leash walking the neighborhood with a Gentle Leader. He is an energetic but not excitable two-year-old who loves to run and play, is working on "fetch" and "bring", enjoys chew toys, snuggles on the couch and recliner, and has learned to sit and wait for his dinner. Hamlet would thrive with an active family with an outside fenced yard (although he could learn an electric fence probably as he is very smart) and while he has a gruff bark, does not use it frequently, only in play with his dog mates. He is short-haired and has taken well to being groomed as he enjoys touch. We think he is a wonderful mix of Labrador with Dutch shepherd, boxer, or American bulldog, or any of the above. Hamlet is, however, working on loving a car ride, and we believe with our frequent trips to the dog park he will soon love it. He is super friendly; we can't say enough about this foster, as he will make a loving family member. Story
Hello, my name is Dove. I am a very shy girl that would love to have a chance to warm up to you! I came from a hoarding situation and was not allowed to socialize with other humans. Once I warm up to you, I am the most loving and happiest furbaby around! My foster mom says you can receive help from her to transition into your home! I live at woofwoof fosters, but I belong to the SPCA of Bradley County! The founder/ director of woofwoof fosters is my foster mommy! I prefer to be around people that know and respect my boundaries and are willing to take their time to let me warm up to you. I have never bitten or growled when being approached outdoors. I will hide to feel safe. While I may be shy with new humans, my rescue mom uses me as a peer model to introduce new dogs to our rescue! Yep, I am cool as a cucumber with new dogs and respect their space but still love to play! Please call my Foster mommy to set up a visit or a video call with me to see my true self! It took me 4 days to warm up to my foster mommy! However, please remember the 3,3,3 rule (3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn the routine, and 3 months to feel at home). My foster mommy (woofwoof fosters) works with a dog trainer and has already had me evaluated! Looking forward to meeting with you to help find my new furever home! Sincerely yours, Dove Patience, realistic expectations and a good match in a home environment are the keys to success! Dove is currently available from a loving foster home. Please email bspcafoster@gmail.com to coordinate a time for a meet and greet! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 61.6lbs Age: Animal has been Spayed UTD on vaccines, on preventatives, and microchipped.
