I got Buddy about 6 years ago. A friend of mine found him in the road and I took him. He’s been a wonderful companion but I can no longer give him the care he deserves. Work keeps me away from home for most of the day while he’s alone as well as other obligations that keep me out of the house. I don’t know his age but I believe he’s 7-10 now based on the white in his fur. He still has plenty of puppy play left in him despite his age but is also happy to lay around and be lazy with you. He does not play well with any other kind of animal but is perfectly fine with strangers and children.

Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. (my mom and brother found a safe place too) So here i am at the rescue, just waiting to be discovered by my real forever family and I have some things to tell you about me.... I am cute, a little chunky and a little silly at times. But i am SERIOUSLY looking for that home. So if you like a chonky diva, I am yours!!! "She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! Teach me who you want me to be and I will learn! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED! Now I am in my foster home and learning the "ropes" ;) Potty training is getting better every day, I mean our foster mom takes us out often for potty control and I am really working hard to wait for the next jaunt outside! I also am crate training too! I don't like to pee or poop where I sleep- as long as I don't eat right before bed and go outside as soon as I wake up I am doing great!! I seriously am ready for my family, I LOVE to play and am great with all dogs big, small, old or babies. AND i have one half BLUE EYE!! The better to see you with, my new family! :) ADOPT ME SOON!! We got Lilly in Athens, GA when she was 3 months old. She was very small, and we were told she was a German Shepherd - Golden Retriever mix. She clearly is not ha. We’ve decided the closest is Border Collie & Chow Chow. She will be 6 years old in July. She is crate trained and has always loved her crate. She does long car rides really well. She only has accidents indoors if she’s sick. She has been trained very well and comes with an E-collar. She has been off-leash trained and loves to go hiking. She is okay around other dogs and kids, but a dog-free, kid-free house would be best and her preference - ha. We are rejoining, because we foster, and we are choosing to prioritize our little humans over her. It breaks our hearts, but we’re praying that she can a home that loves her like we used to be able to.

Oakley is a moderately low energy pup. She prefers to be with her person when outdoors and will "herd" her humans around by walking in circles around them. She knows how to settle on her own when inside. She also knows how to entertain herself with toys when inside. Oakley walks with a loose lead but needs some reassurance to remain confident on the leash. Oakley responds best to gentle verbal correction. She knows how to sit on command and does not yet know her name, so changing her name should be easy. Oakley is motivated best by praise but does take treats gently when they are offered to her. Oakley does well with men, women, and children. She maintains positive body language with other dogs when outside of the kennels but is fearful of other dogs when walking through the kennel environment. Oakley allows full body handling/petting. Oakley has passed her dog testing and food testing within the shelter.URGENT
