Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Story
Junebug is a sweet, loving, and playful girl who is getting her long-overdue second chance at life. She previously lived on a chain, but she’s quickly embracing the comforts of being a beloved companion. She’s is potty trained and is learning her house manners, and she walks nicely on a leash. She is such a smart girl and is very teachable. Junebug seems to enjoy people of all ages, including children, though her playful energy may be a bit much for very small kids. Junebug does well with other dogs but may show some assertive behavior, so proper introductions are important. She has not been cat tested. A meet and greet is required prior to adoption to ensure a great match. She is up to date on vaccines, preventatives and is spayed. Junebug is ready to find a loving home where she can finally enjoy the life she deserves.

Story
Odin came to us having had both of his eyes just removed at the shelter as they were both in extremely rough shape with several issues. He was a stray that came in with another dog but his buddy did have to be humanely let go at the shelter d/t having a tumor. Odin seems ok with other dogs but with having completely lost his eyes he does need to be around them for a bit before he is ok with them and gets used to them. He does seem to prefer female dogs so far vs male dogs-though the male dog we have had him near was in tact and just recently neutered so that may effect that energy. But Odin LOVES people and such a sweet love to humans! Odin has adjusted GREAT to life without his eyes, much better than a human would, and gets around amazingly! He likes to be outside but truly he likes to be where he knows and can sense you are near. He comes to his name and you can guide him along verbally and his hearing seems to be intact. He does need to lose some weight so we are hoping the more active he is now that his sutures have come out and he has been cleared to be active that that will help! He does also seem to be mostly potty trained now that he has gotten used to the routine and walks well on a leash and is easy to redirect and walk along! He can be vocal when you leave him and we did have him on Trazodone when he first came to us with lots of crying and pacing happening, but again now that he has learned the routine that seems to be diminishing and we have since taken him off Trazodone though he may need it to get used to a new home. He also may not like being behind barriers as an Australian Shepherd so that could also not be helping! But he does seem to have some separation anxiety that we feel like is getting better. Because he can be vocal we dont think he would be appropriate in an apartment setting.  June 9, 2026, 4:19 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Freddie! This pup is all the things: he’s cute + cuddly, frisky + funny, playful + (mostly) polite. And, he has every shade of pumpkin on his face. Speaking of face, he loves a good face rub, and a good neck rub, and he has several tickle spots on his belly. The boy loves to be loved!    This cutie pie enjoys playing with his biological brother, Franklin, and any foster sibling who will play with him. He does a good job respecting the boundaries set by his grumpy, older foster siblings. He enjoys meeting new people, especially if it means extra love + attention. He thinks his foster family is pretty great & enjoys being with them, even if it means being toted around by the three-year-old. If they take a walk in the backyard, he likes to go exploring with them. Occasionally, his genetics get the best of him and he playfully nips at the ankles, but a firm “No, Sir” deters him. Actually, he responds very well to a simple, but firm “uh-uh” when he’s engaging in any less-than-desirable puppy behaviors.    Freddie is intelligent and wants to please his people. He does very well in a crate + is being trained in going to the bathroom outside. He enjoys his kibble, scrambled eggs, pumpkin, and any tasty treats. Toys are great fun for him, too. He sleeps in the funniest positions, and if you talk to him in various pitches, he’s sure to make you laugh at all the ways he will cock his head.    Freddie is a good-natured pup, who will be a blessing to any person or family who chooses him.    Medical Notes:   Neutered Microchipped Microchipped Dewormed Monthly fles/tick/heartworm preventatives  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 9, 2026, 5:09 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Blaze, and I’m looking for my furever home! I am currently being fostered in Nashville, TN. I am an Australian Shepherd, 4 1/2 years old and weigh approximately 70 lbs. I am neutered, vetted, microchipped, and fully up-to-date on shots. I came from a family with another dog and a child, but they unfortunately moved and could not take me. I have the sweetest face and eyes. My foster mom even accidentally calls me ‘Bear’ sometimes because I can be like a big teddy bear but with gentle petting and no rough play. Sometimes the neighbors even say I look like Beethoven from the 90s movie. I may be a little distrustful of strangers at first (I might even bark), but once I know there is no danger, I just want love and to hang around my humans. I’ll follow you room-to-room, but I have no desire to get on the furniture or the bed. If you need me to go to my crate, just tell me to and I’ll do it! My favorite place to sleep is on the floor next to your bed. I know how to “sit” very well. I am a very sweet cuddlebug but I do get nervous and howl when left alone in a new place. After a few days, I’m usually good! I LOVE to go on walks, and step right into my harness with joy but because of my size, I tire out easily so I prefer short to medium-length walks. Keep working with me and I’ll get stronger! I also have trouble sometimes because my back leg and knees have some arthritis. I will benefit from some joint supplements. I’m good on a leash, but sometimes I like to chase birds! I’ve had a foster brother for the past three weeks and we tolerate each other. We do fine together, until he tries to steal my toys… then I growl at him. I’ve learned to play tug of war with my humans and I am a big fan. I’ll also enjoy chasing a ball or toy that I can bring back to you. I’d probably thrive in a home with a small family or even a single person. I’m protective, but I do love meeting new people. Please fill out this application if you want your home to be Blaze’s furever home! https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/old-adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.

Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. Meet Wiley! Wiley is an approximately 1.5 year old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix (best guess) with a happy personality and a very smart mind. He is an active boy who is always ready for his next adventure and would thrive with a family that understands the needs of intelligent working breeds. Wiley is high energy and will need a breed knowledgeable owner committed to continuing his training and providing both mental and physical stimulation. He is eager to learn and already does pretty well on a leash. With consistency and structure, Wiley has the potential to become an incredible companion. He would do best with an active family that enjoys walks, outdoor activities, training, and keeping their dogs engaged. Wiley is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in life right alongside his people. Wiley is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. $200 Local Adoption Fee (Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)
