Story
Bingo is a very special dog that was adopted in January of 2020 by a beloved volunteer and friend of SNIPSA. As Bingo was passed over for adoption again and again, he found a special friend in SNIPSA’s dog walker, Kalvin. Day after day, week after week, Kalvin and Bingo went on afternoon walks. This special bond blossomed into best buds for life when Kalvin officially adopted Bingo. Devastatingly, Kalvin passed away in early November. While our hearts are broken for a friend lost too soon, we are committed to making sure Bingo finds a new family who can offer him just as much love (and as many walks) as dear Kalvin. A happy and energetic pup with a huge love of fetching toys, Bingo is also an epic cuddle bug! While his bond for his “human” is strong, he will do better as an only pet. This lover boy is eager to please and would make a doting, loyal companion. We are so invested in finding Bingo the right home that we enrolled him in doggy boot camp at Lone Star State K9. He has spent the past few weeks brushing up on his manners so he can be the best boy for his new owners. Bingo means the world to us and we hope he can find a fresh start in 2024. Will you be the one to offer Bingo another chance at happiness?

Hey! Hi! Hello! You look like you’re looking for the most handsome mutt on the block? Trust me, you’ve found him. All these good looks must come with a bit of charm, right? I’d certainly like to think so. Upon my arrival to SNIPSA, there was no doubt about my loyalty. In my current foster home, I’ve proven to love my humans above all else. As the gentleman that I am, I’ve already mastered the basics like house training and your standard “no” and “sit” commands. As an Australian Shepherd mix, I would appreciate an active lifestyle to ensure that both my mind and body remain busy. Daily walks and interactive toys are some great examples of stimulation. So, if you’re seeking your next companion to accompany you on all of your favorite activities, I can’t wait to join you! Submit an application to meet me today!

Story
Have a love for senior dogs? Well then, this old girl will most certainly pull at your heartstrings. Meet Loretta! This adorable Aussie wants nothing but cuddles and a place to call her own. Found blind, emaciated, dehydrated and abandoned in a ditch, someone let this pup down big time. Luckily, Loretta was rescued by Karnes County Humane Organization and offered a temporary refuge. The organization issued a plea for help, and after hearing about her story, SNIPSA decided to step in, too. Loretta has been transferred into a foster home where she can relax as she awaits a prospective adopter. Despite her current state, she was clearly a beloved pet at some point in her life. Loretta wastes no time in befriending humans. She will eagerly crawl into your lap for pets and trustingly follow your scent during trips outside. Having lost most of her sight, she relies mostly on her nose and partial hearing to navigate her surroundings. She has also has an excellent appetite and always cleans her bowl! From what we’ve seen, Loretta would do just fine with other pets as long as they can respect her fragile condition. She enjoys socializing with other friendly dogs, exploring her surroundings and laying in the grass outside. With her calm, affectionate nature, Loretta will be a peaceful presence in any home. Please consider placing an application to offer her a new life.

Story
I adopted Broki when he was 2 months old he is now close to 3 years old. Broki is a great dog, house trained and playful. Reason I can’t have him anymore is because we had a kid and he developed a chronic allergy to the dog hair. I will like for Broki to be in a home where he is loved and taking care of. He is up to date on every shots and he is neutered.

Story
This sweet boy was a owner dump in our neighborhood. He is young appx 1-1.5 years old. We have been fostering him for a little over a month now, while we try to find him a good home. He is full of energy but once he is tuckered out he makes a perfect lap dog for kisses and cuddles. He is an indoor dog who is potty trained and we have been crate training him as well successfully. We already have 7 pets so we are unable to keep him much longer, but he is such a happy, sweet, loving boy we could not imagine placing him in a shelter. He is great with young kids, cats and dogs. We took him to get his basic shots and made sure he is in good health with our vet since we were not sure what his previous owner had done for him. We are not asking for a rehoming fee, just a good forever home for Indy.

Story
Hello, this is Brownie. She is an Australian Shepherd/Great Bernese. Brownie is 9 months old and is up to date with her vaccinations. She hasn’t been neutered yet. She enjoys being in big open spaces and is very social with people and dogs. My wife and I recently moved in into a small area. And we prefer for her to live in a more large open area. We do not want her to leave, but she needs to be in a more active/productive setting. Brownie is a good dog with a lot of energy and loves to be with people of any age. We are looking for a loving and caring home for her. Please let me know of any questions you might have (xxx) xxx-xxxx
