Story
We adopted Vale a little under a year ago. She is an amazing pet she loves to cuddle she loves belly rubs and just loves to be shown love. She gets along really well with kids because they keep her active and on her toes. She hates crates. She loves walks and peanut butter and ice-cream. We unfortunately have to part from her because we are relocating and our new landlord does not aprove her breed. She has never shown aggression ever. She shows love and playfulness. She also loves being outside never really cared to be indoors. Vale is a very bright beautiful and loving girl she deserves love and dedication someone who mostly loves the outdoors as much as she does. The only command Vale ever learned was "sientate" with is sit but with the tight technique and determination I know she can do way more.

Story
Hope is an 8-month-old Australian Shepherd with a beautiful multicolored coat — primarily grey with brown accents and a white underbelly. She has unique olive-colored eyes and a very sweet, energetic personality. She’s house trained, knows “sit,” and is very food-motivated, which makes training easy. She loves being outside, playing, and staying active. Due to limited space, busy work schedules, and a pregnancy in the home, we can’t give her the time and environment she needs. Looking for a loving home where she can thrive.

Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/       ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Adoption Bio – Alex Meet Alex, an 18-month-old, 35-lb Australian Shepherd mix who is as sweet as she is social. Alex is an active, happy girl who loves people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is even friendly with cats. She enjoys being part of the family and would do best in a home that wants an affectionate, fun-loving companion. Alex is crate trained and knows how to use a dog door, making her an easy addition to a home. She’s smart, loving, and eager to be included in everyday life. Alex has a medical condition called Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). This means her pancreas doesn’t produce enough digestive enzymes on its own. The good news is that EPI is very manageable. Alex simply needs 1 teaspoon of a prescription digestive enzyme powder mixed into her food at each meal. This allows her body to absorb nutrients properly so she can stay healthy and thrive. When managed, EPI does not limit her quality of life, and Alex does great on her routine. Medical Needs at a Glance Condition: Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) Daily Care: 1 teaspoon of prescription enzyme powder mixed into each meal Management Level: Easy — added during normal feeding time Prognosis: Excellent with routine care; happy, active, and healthy Impact on Lifestyle: Minimal — Alex lives a normal, active dog life Alex is a loving, joyful girl who doesn’t let EPI slow her down one bit. She’s ready to bring companionship, energy, and lots of affection to a forever home If you’d like, I can also create a short rescue-post version or a “perfect home” paragraph to help her stand out even more. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more). You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $150. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccinations, Bravecto®, Drontal® Plus, Tri-Heart® Plus Chewable Tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Meet Rosa, a 2-year-old, 42-lb Australian Shepherd mix with a gentle soul and an easygoing personality Rosa does great with everything she meets—people, dogs, and new situations alike. She has a calm, sweet demeanor and is refreshingly mellow for an Aussie mix, making her a wonderful companion for a variety of homes. Rosa is crate trained, housebroken with the use of a dog door, and has excellent manners around the house. She also walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys getting out for relaxed walks. Rosa previously tested positive for heartworms, but she has completed treatment using the fast-kill method (Diroban) and is now heartworm free. She’s healthy, happy, and ready to move forward into her forever home. If you’re looking for a loving, well-mannered, and calm companion with a heart of gold, Rosa may be the perfect addition to your family Rosa has been diagnosed with heartworm infection.  Dogs acquire heartworm infections when they are bitten by a mosquito that was infected with heartworm larvae. Dogs with heartworm infection live happy, high-quality lives as long as they are given appropriate care. Heartworm infection is relatively common in the United States so we are in need of caring adopters like you that are willing to open their home to a dog with heartworm infection. We think that our heartworm dogs have just as much to offer their new adopters as any other dog and they deserve a chance at life. Adopters will receive all the necessary medications needed to complete the heartworm treatment protocol. Rosa also did test positive for anaplasmosis and ehrlichiosis which are bacteria infections caused by a tick bite and she has begun a 30-day course of doxycycline. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Cowgirl is our sweet southern belle with a heart as big as Texas itself. This 5-year-old Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix has been through quite the journey. She arrived at SNIPSA with her rodeo of puppies, who have since all found their forever homes. Unbeknownst to us, Cowgirl was in heart failure. At first, we thought it simply might be related to her heartworm disease, and later discovered, after a series of diagnostics, that she was simply born with a crummy heart. We consulted with a cardiologist and developed a medical plan where she is being managed with medication and diuretics, and thanks to her caring foster mom, she’s doing wonderfully! In fact, she is doing so well, she has grown into her girlish figure and lives for zoomies in the backyard. She has a hearty appetite and enjoys spending time with the other resident foster dog. She has developed quite the relationship with her foster mom and follows her everywhere. Cowgirl is great with children, other dogs, and doesn’t even mind the resident cat. She may sneak a French Fry, but we aren’t getting worked up. We are just so happy she is feeling so much better!! While we understand most potential adopters will overlook this sunshiny girl, we are hanging onto hope that someone sees the hope. She may have two years or five years, we don’t have that guarantee. But we will do everything we can to ensure her care, quality of life, and hope that there is an adopter out there that sees her beauty.
