Story
Greetings my name is Reed, and while I am not the best at fetching balls, I am the best at fetching your heart. I am at my best when I am with my human, though I will suprise you with my speed and agility. I came to Richmond, Virginia after spending time in a Tennessee shelter and I have really enjoyed acclimating to a pampered life of playtime with my foster pups and my treat dispenser/foster dad. I am about 2 years old. I am the biggest flirt use my angelic eyes to convince you to give me a treat, and have the floppiest ears you will ever scratch. I also enjoy long walks and randomly zooming in the yard in a flash, but also enjoy couch time watching my favorite sit coms and documentaries on the couch with my foster dad. I am crate trained and relatively well behaved and know a few tricks such as sit and shake. I am food motivated but share nicely with other pups. I would be fine with a sibling pup as long as my size or bigger, but am perfectly happy being the only show in town. Swipe right on me and you wont regret it! https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to my new family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Courtesy Post- Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Yorktown, VA Meet Ozzie! He is an 5 year old Australian Shepherd/Catahula mix and weighs 55 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Ozzie is nervous around strangers. He is good with cats and medium to large dogs! No children, due to his reactivity! He has vision issues. Ozzie bit the owner‘s child and niece on the face. He knows sit, down, heel, up, and off. The owner is surrendering him because of his biting. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Ozzie, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Ozzie. Story
IN New Kent VA - Hi, my name is Rowdy but everybody calls me Brody. I’m 2 years old, have all my shots and I can’t get anybody pregnant. I’m a happy go lucky kinda guy, love every new face I meet. My foster momma says she don’t understand how I’m the happiest dog she met since I’ve been through so much. I love people, kids, and other dogs. My foster mamma takes me to the dog-park and I just love to run and chase my foster brother when he fetches the ball. I like to chase the ball too, but I always forget to bring it back. I love my toys; I like to shake and chew them and go after them when thrown. Foster mamma says I’m such a good boy I haven’t chewed anything in the house. I also know how to sit and shake hands; you don’t even have to give me a treat. I aways go to mamma when she calls but I’m on a leash when not in the fenced yard. I do pretty good walking, nothing scares me. I sleep with my people but I have a lot of fur, so I usually end up on the floor as I get hot. I’m doing soo much better not going potty in the house, but Mamma says I get upset when I get left at home and have accidents, we are working on this. Mamma says I would be better with people that are home most of the day, I agree 100%. I would also like a fur sister or brother because I wanna play all day! I have 3 foster siblings and this cat that keeps smacking me, but I just love it. I love to go places in the car too. I get super-duper excited to go new places and meet new people and other dogs. I’m down for what-ever you want to do, I’m your man! Here is my application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application THere is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to my new furever family. All adoption fees go to future rescue efforts.

Story
Toby is a 2 year old mini Australian shepherd. We originally got him for our son but he can no longer take care of him. Toby loves to play ball and loved to be by his people. He just needs someone that will show him attention and play with him. He is house trained and kennel trained and sleeps in his kennel at night. He will need to be caught up on some shots and have his hair trimmed and some matting removed. I know he will be a great dog for someone who shows him the time and attention he deserves.

Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie Belle to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie Belle is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie Belle is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 27, 2024, 10:00 pm

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 35 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 27, 2024, 10:00 pm
