Story
Meet Tevya very shy and timid at first but then look out for the cuddles, he is neutered and up to date on the vaccines available for adoption only for approved homes This baby was taken in by a concerned person because he was wandering a neighborhood for a couple of weeks. Instead of turning him in to animal control, they did the responsible thing and had Tevya vetted while holding him until a rescue could take him in. He is a swell guy, happy go lucky and loves everyone. Not that large, just kinda chunky...

Story
Lola-Old English Bulldog female, Fawn and White, DOB 3-10-23 (Sept. 2024) For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Lola came to Rescue when her 'breeder' could not use her in the breeding program. This sweet friendly little girl has been described as calm and quiet. She loves to play and retrieve and has lived with cats and small dogs, without any issues. Some information about her breeding... Kind but courageous, friendly but dignified, the Bulldog is a thick-set, low-slung, well-muscled bruiser whose 'sourmug' face is the universal symbol of courage and tenacity. These docile, loyal companions adapt well to town or country. You can't mistake a Bulldog for any other breed. Lola has had an ACL treatment and is said to be fine, although still on a limited activity schedule. No stairs, limited activity and no playing with big dogs. Some crate time for rest will be continued for a while too, both day and night rest periods. Lola's adoption fee is $400 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.8/30/24 Poundcake and Shortbread have been with me in rescue since they were 8wks old. They will be a year old in a few weeks. These sweet girls have spina bifida which has left them completely incontinent. Other than incontinence, they have no other health problems. They are so deserving of a good life and forever home. They do well with diapers but require frequent changes because they are constantly dribbling. It would be helpful to express their bladders fully before diapering, to reduce their output. They currently sleep in a crate with a grate in bottom to stay clean. And they spend time on my porch which can be hosed off, on nice days. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to devote the time they deserve. They are SO SWEET. They love each other dearly and can not be separated. They are excellent with other dogs of all sizes. They currently weigh about 45-50 lbs. They are spayed and up to date on everything. If anyone is interested in giving them a good forever home, this is the adoption application. https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.    Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Story
Dog:Tootsie Age:9-12 Months Weight: 45 Location: Newtown, PA Nicknames: Toots, T, Tutti-frutti, Tootsie Roll, Grandma Ethel Good with other dogs?: Yes. Tootsie is dog friendly and loves to play with other dogs. She can play a bit rough, and can be a bit mouthy, which some dogs may not appreciate. Good with cats? yes Good with children? unknown, will not be adopted to a home with kids under 10 Activity Preference: Needs a couple walks a day., Needs in-house activities IQ: Smart Tootsie's favorite things: Tootsie is a sweet and funny dog. She enjoys taking walks and the ability to run off leash and at times get the zoomies. She is quite inquisitive and loves to smell and discover new places. She enjoys car rides and getting out of the house. She loves balls of all sizes and will often play with a full-size soccer-ball. Tootsie is good at: meeting people, meeting dogs, staying in a crate, behaving in the house, going for car rides, walking on a leash, playing Ideal home: another dog, no children, someone at home most of the day, a fenced yard, Lots of exercise opportunities Training Needs: socialization with dogs, needs obedience training Health issues: Tootsie is thought to have albinism and is deaf due to this trait. Due to her hearing impairment, her foster family has been teaching her sign language for basic commands (sit, stay, come, etc.) She also wears a vibrating collar which she has been trained to follow for recall when she cannot see her family. She is quite independent and just beginning to learn rules. Training will require consistent reinforcement and her forever home must be ready to work with her on a regular basis to keep these skills. In addition, she must go to a home with a fence to ensure she cannot wander away, as she cannot hear cars or other dangers. Meet Tootsie Tootsie is a fun loving, goofy, sweet and independent girl who would be great addition to home that will continue to work with her training to help with her special needs. There are some great benefits to having a deaf dog- vacuuming is not scary, play drums or guitar?- no problem for her, live by a fire/ police-department- she doesn't hear it, use lots of loud equipment- she'll never know! However, having a deaf dog comes with its challenges too- they don't come when you call them! Tootsie loves to run free in a yard, discover new things and curl up on a bed or couch. She loves toys and is constantly bringing her collection into her crate. She is house-broken and will let you know when she needs to go out. She looks a bit goofy, but has a big heart and is just waiting to find her new family willing to give this special girl some love. Food being given: RAW food diet only: OG, Steves, other raw food=beef, turkey or fish    PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application. Please visit www.AmericanBulldogRescue.org to apply! Remember - Adoption is always the best option! We cannot place dogs in homes with children under 10 unless that dog has lived with kids or is in a foster home with kids. Thank you.
