While she may be and older gal, she still has lots of energy and lots of love to give. She would be open to living in a home with children of all ages. We also feel she could do well with a canine companion with a proper introduction here at the shelter. She also may do well in a home with cats with a slow introduction in the home. PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Butter . English Bulldog, owner surrender. This pretty little girl will be a great addition to just about any family. She gets along well with most female dogs, but she has had conflict with a couple of female dogs who challenged her. She has never started any trouble; she just didn't back down when trouble found her. Never any issues with male dogs. She's young and still very puppy like, with plenty of energy. Butter is a happy go lucky, friendly girl who will greet you and everyone else with loads of enthusiasm! She has never been around cats but I believe she would adjust to a home with cats. She has not been around kids, but has given no indication that she wouldn't love kids, and I believe with her youth and friendly demeanor, she would enjoy having older kids to play with. She may be a bit too much for toddler age children. Butter is located in Central Arkansas. She may be adopted locally, but could also transport to the New England area for the right adopter. Please note: Butter and most English Bulldogs carry a higher adoption fee than most dogs. This is due to several factors, including the additional expense of their vet care while in rescue. We also want to make sure her adopter is capable of the ongoing vet care that most English Bulldogs require for their skin, ears, and general health. There's a new star in town, and this one has four legs! Meet Duke, a handsome 10-month-old, 45-pound Bulldog/Staffordshire Terrier mix (our best guess) who is ready to find his forever family. Duke is a happy, playful, people-loving pup who thinks everyone he meets is a potential best friend. He's wonderful with other dogs and loves having a canine buddy to play with. His favorite game? FETCH! He'll happily chase a toy, bring it back, and do it all over again. And if there's water involved? Even better! Dorothy is a the sweetest 4 year old bulldog you'll every meet. She can't wait to meet her people (and any/all people). Some may call her short and stout - weighing in around 52 lbs. She has a playful, goofy, loving personality. She is generally easy going and easily persuaded, especially if there are treats involved. She loves everyone she meets and happily trots over to get some pets. She currently lives with a toddler and is very patient with her. She is known to get some zoomies and is sometimes is called a bull in a china shop. She has playful bursts of energy that she likes to play with toys and romp around the house with her fur siblings. When she's not playing she is happy to take a good and long nap - sometimes in her crate or on a soft bed. Dorothy doesn't mind walking on a leash but likes so stop and smell the roses when she's out and about. She enjoys playing in the yard and would love a fenced in yard, but could go without for the right people. She hasn't met any cats but can be cat tested. Dorothy came to us for a commercial breeder. She has been diagnosed with luxating patellas and does take a daily joint supplement. She has typical bulldog skin and is prone to allergy flare ups. She is up to date on core vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. When she arrived at Zoe's house she needed multiple procedures including palate resection, spay, hernia correction, nares, and entropion correction. PRINCESS is a five year-old English Bulldog who was retired from breeding. Although she is Amish, we wouldn’t say she came from a “Puppymill”. Princess needs a family who will help her transition to home life. She is very very sweet although she can be a little tentative to new situations like linoleum floors and things that she hasn’t been exposed to yet. She is a good car rider and enjoys her walks however, they are HER walks and might not be in the speed or direction that you were planning. Princess gets along well with our Corgi, LILAC, who came from the same farm and she would probably do best with a doggy friend to show her the ropes. Fine with cats. Princess is laid back by day but when we are not there at night, she does turn into a little gremlin and dumps things over and gets into things. In a real home, this behavior might surface while you were at work. Ideally She would have somebody that’s not gone all day and a safe spot while you are away. Princess will be available at the beginning of October 2026 after her spay surgery. She will also be vaccinated, heartworm tested and micro chipped at that time. Adoption $300.
