A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Meet Miley! Sweet Miley is a 5 year old sweetheart, around 18 lbs. Such a beautiful girl with pretty lining around her eyes.  Miley is a very affectionate, loving dog. She loves to snuggle with you on the couch and go for walks (great on leash) and is happy to be in her crate at night. If you are looking for the best snuggler, Miley is your girl. She is a leaner and will drape herself in your lap. Miley is a very gentle and meek sweetheart. She can be a little timid with new people and new dogs but she only needs a moment to get over that. She was rescued from the streets of Mexico years ago and can still display a little hesitation at times in new situations. Miley is a sweet girl but is inconsistent with her potty training. She will mainly go outside but at times will have an accident inside.  Miley is good with other dogs, with proper introduction. She is best in a home without cats.  Miley is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there!
