Welcome Blossom to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 5-month old Whippet/Laborador. She looks like a mini Laborador. She shouldn’t be any larger than 30-pounds full grown. She is super sweet and is very social. She likes everyone and isn’t afraid or shy around strangers. This will be a great dog for a social person that wants to take their dog to any local coffee shop. She would also be great in doggie daycare. She is friendly with other dogs. She is decent on a leash and on a good schedule will do her business outside. She is good in a crate and will be a great dog for someone wanting a Lab but not wanting a large dog. She sheds a small amount now and we think moderate shedding as an adult. She would be great with a family with children. We like them 8 or older but we feel confident in a rambunctious household being fine for this sweet dog. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Animal Profile: Jackie is a 3.5-month-old whippet/rat terrier mix. This sweet, sassy gir likes nothing better than being beside you or on your lap. She's good with dogs, cats, and dog-savvy kids. Foster Update: Jackie is a sweet, spunky, and loving puppy. She is a champ at pottying outside and is great in crate. She is food motivated and has quickly learned sit. She loves other dogs and has done great both on walks and playing with resident dogs. She would enjoy being in a home with other dogs but not mandatory. She enjoys a walk, but with the rain prefers a short walk with an indoor play session, and then a nap. She’s been so wonderful hanging in my office while I work from home. If her cuteness doesn’t make you fall in love with her, her desire to just follow you around the house wagging her tail may seal the deal. Jackie would love a home with a fenced yard and another canine companion, but not mandatory for the right home. She is a very active and affectionate dog, she loves to go for a walk on a leash and discover new places, she is usually invaded when she meets a new dog, and she jumps on people with tremendous joy, she is very sociable and obedient, but when she plays she usually behaves like puppy, he loves balls, cloth toys, rope toys, and he really likes to play with puppies. She was abandoned the day she had her 12 puppies, the "owner" went to throw the babies on the hill while June desperately looked for them where she thought her home was, the person who asked us for support to give her shelter and care told us that She went for her puppies, and they were in a box, under the sun, and there were 4 dead puppies in a bag, together with her 8 brothers, the girl took them down to her house so that June was with them, but when we arrived by they only had 5 puppies alive since he brought them back up the hill. On the track, that made her very fast – in her brief career she won handsomely but retired after only 11 starts. Now just over 6 years old, Grace is set for her new life as a Royal Hound. We think Rick is the winning-est hound we’ve ever rehomed for our friends in Australia. In 104 starts in both mainstream and senior racking, he won 34 times – batting over .300 – until he pulled a muscle and raced into retirement and a ticket to Washington. You might expect him to be a huge handful, but this handsome brindle guy checks in at well under 70lbs, and is just a confident, happy guy with a nice grin and a helicopter wag. Rick has been calm and curious as he transitions from track training to pet life and discovering toys and traffic, sniffaris and stairs, dog hugs and head rubs as he searches for his forever home. We think his ideal place would have a fenced yard big enough for zoomies, with people who like walks and wags in equal measure.
