I would require an agreement and refundable fee to make sure that Tuna gets fixed within a month of adoption. She is not to be used for breeding. Tuna is a very sweet, loyal dog once she feels safe. She is nervous around new people and animals, and she shows that by barking, growling, and raising her hackles. She will usually hide behind me or stand between me and what scares her. She has never bitten anyone. She does wear a muzzle at the vet. She needs someone experienced with anxious or reactive dogs who can give her slow introductions to a calm environment. With her people, she is incredibly gentle and loving. She's honestly just the sweetest dog with the biggest heart. She just needs someone to give her a chance.

Then let’s walk a little more, some sniffing here and there and of course I always stop to look at people when they talk to me. I love all the attention I can get. So now that you are seeing my online picture, imagine me with my big head of your lap, relaxing with you and just enjoying all these special moments of being together. I’m not too much into sharing my people with other pets but that’s just because I have so much love to give. My tail is wagging in anticipation of meeting my new family.

-Wendy is part of our Home for the Holidays adoption promotion, so her adoption fee is 50% off!-Sit, down and paw, come…can I learn more? I am an active girl and I enjoy a nice game of fetch. When someone is getting ready to take me out, I can sometimes get excited but then calm down as they put the harness on me. Going for a long walk is fun. I also love water so bath time is always a special moment with staff. They can pick me up, even carry me like a big baby. I enjoy all this extra attention, you know the massage and shampooing. While not mandatory, a fenced-in yard would be awesome so I can run around. I like to keep fit so an active person would be awesome but most importantly, I want to be loved. Guess what, some may have thought I was not good with other dogs but let me tell you something, I am actually doing pretty well some of the doggies in play groups here. We are just having fun like kids would at recess. (Of course, this still means that I may not like every single dog) So if you have a dog, why don’t you bring him in so we can meet and see how we may do together.
