Just a little insider information on this beautiful girl: I’ve owned and fostered a lot of dogs over the years, but Penny truly stands out as one of the smartest dogs I’ve ever met. She’s such a quick study and eager to please — she picks up new things in no time! Penny has been an absolute dream to foster. She’s been in my home for a little over a week and already has full reign of the house while I’m away for several hours each day. Not a single accident, not one chewed shoe — she’s completely housebroken and wonderfully well-mannered. She knows all her basic commands and is learning more every day. Penny walks nicely on a leash (though she may remind you she has a strong prey drive if a squirrel dares cross her path!). She’s gentle when taking treats, affectionate with her people, and always eager to be part of whatever you’re doing. Penny does want to be the only dog in her forever home. She’ll happily alert you when someone’s at the door, but once guests are welcomed, she greets them with her trademark sweetness. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.
