My name is Jackson and I’m so excited to meet you! I am a Boxer/Beagle mix born 12/17/22. My foster parents call me a puppy but I’m a big kid now! I LOVE to meet new dogs and play chase or wrestle with them. Dad says I am doing pretty well on leash for walks, and have potty training and kennel training pretty much mastered. Mom says I can be stubborn, and not always listen when called the first time. I currently live with a bigger foster brother and a foster “cat” who I am convinced is just another dog to play with. New experiences can be scary, but I am normally brave if mom and dad are there reassuring me. Currently, Dad stays home most days and I would probably do best with someone home at least every few hours, at least at first. I sleep in my room all night and love to nap in the dog beds around the house. More than anything, I love to run and play with all my friends, all the time! I will chase after balls, frisbees and sticks. I’ll then try to get everyone to chase me so we can keep the game going. I desperately want to catch a bird and try at every chance I get. I am unsure about getting into the car but once we are moving, I’m fine and mostly just look out the windows. Mom and dad said I would likely do best with at least one other confident dog in the house or a parent who can stay with me most of the time. At least until I get the hang of my new life. Just look at that smile and try not to fall in love. He LOVES to play and run in the backyard. He wants to be part of the group and loves to know he’s loved. He is absolutely a wonderful guy. His Bob tail goes at 100 mph when he is being loved.  He loves people, does great with kids. He is a Ladies Man and prefers women, but men are ok too. He is house trained but being a senior gentleman he needs to go more often and early in morning. He has just completed his heartworm treatment and will start his daily walks again now that the exercise restrictions have been lifted. Hi! My name is Newman and I’m seriously the sweetest boy! I was born 9/11/23.  They thought I was a boxer mix at first but one of my siblings had a DNA test done that said I was mostly beagle. I get along with dogs of all shapes and sizes! Also with adults and kids! I do need to learn some boundaries with some dogs, but I’m just a puppy! But with a correction from my foster mom’s dogs and I take the hint! I love to wrestle and chase with my foster mom’s dog they are quite a bit bigger than me but we all have so much fun! I’ve almost got potty training down too! I work well on a schedule and will go to the door when I need to go out! I sleep all night in my crate until I hear my foster mom’s alarm go off then I usually bark cause I need to go potty! I do love to be outside, sometimes my foster mom leaves me on the tie out a little longer cause I like to just sit and watch the squirrels. When I’m not playing with my foster mom’s dogs I like to relax with chew or toy! Or sitting on the couch cuddling my foster mom. The only things a don’t like is the car… I get nervous and will start drooling and if we go a full stomach I might throw up. I’m starting to learn to like my crate but if I know someone is up and I’m stuck in the crate I will bark and I’ve got a big bark for a little guy! I’m a quick learner and I’m sure I’ll be the perfect family pet! I promise I will melt your heart when you meet me!! It is a pleasure to introduce Puddy. He was born September 11,  2023. Originally he was thought to be a boxer mix but one of his siblings had a DNA test done and it came back as a beagle mix. He’s a puppy; a very lovely sweetheart. He’s calm, gentle and has positive energy. He loves cuddling and attention but also does well waiting for love when you are busy. She is good with other dogs, kids, and absolutely NO cats. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. She will be arriving in MN late April. Isabela is finally learning to be a Boxer for the 1st time in her life. She may toa a day or two to adjust after her move. She is crate trained and potty trained, she also does well on a leash. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Yukon (Yuki) was dumped at a high kill shelter in West Texas. He is deaf, but that does not slow him down. Best fit home would have a fenced in yard to keep him safe and a companion dog. He is good with other dogs, kids, and cats (dog savvy ones because he likes to chase to play and lick them). All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. He will be arriving in MN late April. Yuki can be shy at first but don't let that foolw you, he quickly warms up and is the best boy. He is a smart boy who learned signs and schedules fast. He loves to run and play with dogs (and cats but he doesn't understand his size to theirs). He loves everyone he meets and thinks all dogs are his friends. He is working on leash skills, but he doesn't quite understand it yet. You’ll find me to be super playful and incredibly sweet.  I enjoy cuddling with both people and dogs.  I’ve not quite gotten brave enough to check out the cat that is here.  So far the closest I’ve gotten is a sniff in the air. I’m potty trained (unless you rely on using a leash, where I’ll hold it until I’m back inside, which is why I’m asking for a fenced yard). Perhaps we can work on using a leash together as I have a tendency to pull.  But I do know some commands, such as “sit, kennel and outside.”  Speaking of which, I know how to use a kennel but I’m not a fan of one.  I also have been known to bark at strangers out the windows and when you come back home.  I don’t count the times I bark when other dogs start it.  I’m just playing along.  Here is a summary of what foster-mom says: “She's absolutely perfect. Still young and playful but loves to be a couch potato and cuddle. She loves to get super close and tuck her head into your neck. She loves other dogs but needs to take it slow with dogs who are over friendly and get in her face. She does warm up eventually though. Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4.5-year-old beauty. She is a Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier that weighs about 60 pounds. She is a beautiful grey and tan coat that is shiny and she is not too big of a shedding dog. She is loyal and does get along with dogs. Her preference is smaller male dogs or smaller submissive females. She was adopted as a puppy and returned at 4 years old because she didn’t get along with the other female dog in the home. She loves people and loves kids. She is potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She is very affectionate and slept with her family in the bed at night. She was really nice to all the people she met today at the rescue. She loved cuddles and being petted. We could adopt her locally with other dogs and we can test the dogs out. If she goes outside the state of Texas she would make a great only dog. She would be a great companion dog for someone wanting an outdoor companion on your activities and a dog willing to cuddle when you want to chill and read a book. She is the best of both worlds. She is house trained and goes potty outside. They have worked with trainers so she is skilled as far as training goes and was following direction nicely at the Rescue. She could be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. She if fully vetted, healthy and ready for her forever home. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. I'm a laid-back Boxer who's just happy to go with the flow. Whether you're chilling on the couch or heading out for a walk, count me in! I'm all about being where the action is and soaking up every moment with my favorite humans. At home, I'm the perfect companion. I'll follow you from room to room, just happy to be by your side. I'm not one to beg during dinner or cause a ruckus—I'm content to lie down and enjoy the company. But don't let my chill demeanor fool you—I'm always up for some outdoor fun! Throw me a ball, and I'll bound after it with all the enthusiasm of a puppy, even if I'm not the best at bringing it back – hee hee! My life before Underdog is a little unknown, and I can't see to remember it since coming to this gret place! I came to Underdog with some lumps and bumps. We went to the vet and had those removed, but they did come back as Mast Cell Sarcoma's. The vet removed them all, got good margins, and it shouldn't be a problem in my future, but any new lumps would need to be looked at by a vet and have those removed. Meeting new people is one of my favorite things, and I'm not shy about offering kisses and cuddles to anyone who'll take them. Car rides are another highlight of my day—I'll hop right in and settle down for the journey ahead. I am fine to rest in my crate when you are away. We (well ... me) have almost mastered potty training. I do great on a schedule and will go potty on a leash if you don't have a fenced yard. Also, I don't need a fenced yard in my forever home, but if you have one for when I get the goofy zoomies, I would enjoy it.  Out and about, I'm a model citizen. I'll happily sit by your side as we watch the world go by, never pulling on the leash or causing a fuss. And when it comes to other animals, I'm as respectful as they come—I get along great with cats and dogs alike. One of my favorite pastimes? Snuggling up for a snooze. Once I'm settled in, you'll hear the sweet sound of my snores echoing through the house—trust me, it's adorable! Hey, I’m Surly. I’m a 10 year old English Bulldog. Although I am 10, I definitely still have some spunk in me.  I enjoy short walks but will definitely tell you when I’m over my walk and want to go back home to sleep on the couch.  I love cuddles and being covered up with a blanket while I sleep. I have a lot of sass and will tell you when I need something. I expect you to share every dish of food you make with me. I am potty and kennel trained but love being left out of the kennel to snooze on the couch while you’re away.I would never get into anything in the home and don’t really play with toys but I absolutely love bones.  I should go to a calmer house to live out my golden years. I have gotten 8 teeth removed so I’ll need yearly dental check ups to ensure the rest of my teeth are in good health and stay nice and clean. I had some masses on my body tested but they came back benign so thankfully everything is clear there. There should be no issues going forward. I am good with cats. I’ll either cuddle with them or ignore them depending on my mood. I am okay with dogs as long as they are calm and leave my food alone. I don’t like when other dogs are playing or running around too much. I’m a great car rider as well. On our walks or out in public, I really love meeting strangers and letting them say hi to me. I normally will stop walking when someone is approaching in hopes that they will see me staying at them and say hi to me! I have such a big personality and would love a bed to sleep in. Oh yeah, I always sleep in bed cuddled up next to my foster momma as well! I will definitely make you laugh every day. I am just a goof ball of a doggo and would love to meet you! He is picking up on housetraining, he had a few accidents but is starting to go to the door. We have a treat bucket at the door so he is associating treats with going potty outside. He absolutely loves his kennel. The door is left open and he is hoarding bones in there. He’s learning to sit and wait for me to say OK before he eats. We are also working on door manners so that when the door is open, he does not bolt outside. He is actually a pretty smart dog. He is great with dogs and curious about the cat however she does not like Fitz at all. He met plenty of people at a recent gathering and loved them all! He has met some kids agea 9-15 and did well. The baby he met was a bit scary to him. He has discovered his voice, puts his butt up in the air and his tail gets going and he doesn’t stop barking until you get down on the floor and play so I would say no to a shared wall BUT he is smart and will eventually learn.  Overall he’s a good puppy. He will make a great addition to any family, especially one with other dogs. He has a lot of fun energy.Fitz is currently being treated for Ringworm. This is a very common fungal infection but can take time to fully treat and clear. It will require proper environmental management, compliance with treatments and attending the rechecks at MARS Veterinary Services if adopted before the infection is cleared.
