Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Rosco is a 5-year-old, 75-pound Basset Hound (currently on a diet and aiming to lose about 10 more pounds) with a heart as big as his droopy-eared charm. This sweet, affectionate boy lives for snuggle time and will happily curl up next to you on the couch any chance he gets. Rosco is a talker—he’ll politely remind you when it’s breakfast and dinner time, and he’s not shy about offering a few adorable “complaint woofs” if he feels you’re running behind schedule. His silly, expressive personality is guaranteed to make you smile. He’s fully housebroken and knows how to use the dog door like a pro. Rosco is ready to bring love, laughter, and lots of cuddles to his forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal, quirky, couch-sharing companion, Rosco is your guy! Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $300. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Our group focuses on assisting open admission shelters in South Texas where over 32,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year. Our puppies and dogs are completely vetted and live in foster homes. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease. All adoptions include one month of flea and heartworm preventative and a leash and collar.
