I rescued Rosie 3 years ago from the Petaluma shelter. She had been roaming the streets, even though she is fixed and chipped. She was a couple months in the shelter. I thought she was a lab mix because of her ears. I am 73, without a yard and she is too much energy for me, she needs an alpha person to take charge. She follows her nose and will chase cats and squirrels. She would like to run for miles as she is some kind of cattle dog. She needs a place to run. Good with kids

9 year old 40lbs beagle pit mix named Junior who was a great companion to the family until we had our first child. We discovered that he doesn’t get along with young children, and he has tried to nip him several times. We don’t want to give him away but we can’t risk any accidents with our kid, so we’re hoping to find him a new home, with someone who wants a big lapdog and doesn’t have other pets or kids. He loves adults and attention otherwise, just doesn’t seem to understand that our kid isn’t a chihuahua competing for the dog bed

Sassy is a 13 year old Beagle. She is sweet and has grown up with a litter mate we recently lost to heart issues. My wife passed away and I’m relocating to an home without a yard, she grew up in a big yard and is not good without room to roam around. My schedule requires me to be gone a lot and she needs someone around with a stable schedule. My hope is to rehome her with a family that give her the attention she needs.

Meet Sonoma, a mellow and chill girl who just wants to curl up on the blanket next to you. Sonoma is shy, but sweet with one of her favorite activities being sunbathing in her dog bed through the day. She is low energy and prefers couch time to walk time. Sonoma is still working on her potty training and leash skills, but is improving every day. She would do best in a calm home with someone looking for a low maintenance dog that just wants to be by you and be your best friend.  Another dog in the home would likely help her personality blossom as well. Bailey is a 10 year old puppy at heart who loves going for hikes/walks, playing fetch, exploring, and cuddling on the couch. Bailey is incredibly smart, playful, energetic, and sweet. She can also be anxious with big dogs / take a little time to warm up to some people and tends to bond with specific people. She has separation anxiety and does best when people can stay home with her. I travel frequently and just want to make sure she is living her best happiest life. Bailey has a lot of love to give and will thrive in a home where she has access to toys, a backyard, or frequent walks with a park nearby. She’s great in the car, fully potty trained, knows many tricks, loves to go for adventures.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Luna is a 4 year old, red and white, female basset who weighs 41 lbs. She is super cute! She loves all humans and wants nothing more than to curl up and cuddle with her people. She is usually very calm, mellow, and gentle although her barking can come out at times. She walks well on a leash (although does like to follow her nose- like all bassets) and she does well in the car, both in a crate and out. Her foster mom has had her in a large pen at home at times and she has done well with that too. She is usually very agreeable and listens well. She has no health issues, is housetrained and knows how to use a dog door. Luna can have trouble when first meeting new dogs. She may growl and lash out, especially when she is feeling protective over human attention or comfy bed space. But she has proven adaptable and will get used to other dogs and even play a little with them. She has been fostered in a dogsitting home with dogs that come and go often. As long as you are careful and patient when introducing her to other dogs, she does fine. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gus' foster parent has this to say about Gus:Gus is a fun loving 3 ½ year old male basset who has been in my home since April 2025, when his owner of only 6-8 months had to surrender him as she had a terminal illness. He had some challenges that I have been working on with him. He had severe resource guarding issues but is 95% better today. He is fed in a separate area then his basset sister and left alone while eating. He will growl periodically if he thinks that there is food in a bowl that his sister or the cat walks by so thus why the bowls are picked up promptly after feedings and put away till the next feeding. He is not particularly fond of men and does growl at them when he sees them. (workers on the ranch/vet’s office) As I am single and do not have men in my home, I can not work with him on this insecurity. I have exposed him to other people and dogs when he goes out on walks and he does ok. He has been boarded on a few different occasions when I am out of the area or for a doggy daycare day and does well, although he does initially growl at any male staff. Gus loves to do zoomies up and down the hallway and play with his cat friend Stanley and his 2 canine sisters, Presley and Kitchi. He does bark at traffic on the ranch and the cows across the street. I feel he would be best in a home with another canine sister that is easy going and matches his medium energy and either with just a single woman or a couple that is willing to work with him to get him acclimated to men. Overall, Gus is a love and with the right family and continued socialization, will thrive. He can be stubborn, as most bassets are known for, but that is what I love about my bassets, as I also am stubborn so understand the mentality.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 29, 2026, 12:08 am
