I rescued Rosie 3 years ago from the Petaluma shelter. She had been roaming the streets, even though she is fixed and chipped. She was a couple months in the shelter. I thought she was a lab mix because of her ears. I am 73, without a yard and she is too much energy for me, she needs an alpha person to take charge. She follows her nose and will chase cats and squirrels. She would like to run for miles as she is some kind of cattle dog. She needs a place to run. Good with kids

This gorgeous hound was born to love and to be loved, and he takes his purpose seriously. He wants nothing more than to cuddle (preferably next to you on the couch, as much as possible), and is a perfect gentleman. He doesn’t bark, doesn’t drool, doesn’t jump on people, and doesn’t beg; he enjoys going on walks (just not too far, please), and is great on a leash, never pulling. He loves everyone he meets, has been great with children we’ve seen him with, and gets along well with other dogs (we’ve been told he’s also good with cats too). He’s in great health, though his back can be a little stiff, particularly when he first wakes up; a house with no stairs would be best for him. Ulysses is completely house trained and enjoys sleeping on his own dog bed nearby “his people” at night. It’s believed that he’s between 6-7 years old. They came from a home with children. Because Mosho tends to jump on people, which could frighten, or knock over a very young child, Mosho is recommended for older children, or adults. Mosho is an adept and determined counter-surfer, which his foster home is working on! Mosho gets along well with other dogs of his size, or larger. He does not seem to like small dogs. Mosho is potty-trained and is up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. He has a dental appointment in early April. Mosho would be great with older kids or an older couple. He would be fine in a home with a doggie playmate of his size, or larger, or as an only dog.
