Story
Fillmore Jazz is a festival of doggy goodness with loads of SF flare. His eyes are cool and grey, and his ears happily inclusive in a one-up, one-down kind of way. He’s got bowlegs, spots and freckles, and a clothing-optional ethic. He’s a little bebop, a little funk, and tolerates smooth jazz if it’s local. He likes a walk, but he’s not in a big hurry; he’s got spunk but no appetite for the stairs.  You’ll love his unlimited availability for snuggles, penchant for sunbathing, and ultra cool vibe. We think he might be a beat poet with an avid fan base in Japan. Adopt him and find out!

Story
Bailey is a 10-year old beagle terrier mix who still has plenty of energy and a huge heart. She loves to play, run, snuggle, and do anything outdoors. Hiking, camping, long walks, and especially relaxing on the beach are her idea of a perfect day. When she's not exploring, she's happiest curled up next to her person.Bailey bonds closely with her owner and thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time. She does experience some seperation anxiety, so when left alone, she does best in her kennel with a peanut butter kong and regular daily walks. With the right routine, she settles in nicely. She's very dog-friendly overall, but prefers calmer companions. Nippy puppies and very high-energy large dogs aren't really her vibe. Shed do best with mellow dogs or as the center of attention in a loving home.Bailey is incredibly sweet, loyal, and affectionate.Im rehoming her due to my job. Looking for a family that works from home or are retired. Anyone would be lucky to have her.

Story
Harriet is the best of the best. You’ll know it when you meet her: she gives undivided, unconditional love. She loves to be touched, she loves walking and she loves just because that’s who she is. She’s an old girl so she has arthritic joints, and needs some nice soft beds and pillows to hang out on.

Story
Copper is a 1-year-old Beagle mix with an extraordinary spirit and a story of true resilience. After battling and beating the severe distemper virus during months in the hospital, his gentle little body fought hard—and won. Copper is a special-needs pup who continues to experience tremors and requires assistance with eating, but his sweetness and determination never fade. He will thrive in a calm, stay-at-home environment with someone who can offer consistent support, patience, and love. Copper is a tender, soulful companion who deserves a family ready to give him the long, happy life he fought so hard for.

Story
Hello, my name is Bailey! I am a 1 year old, spayed female, Beagle/Hound mix who currently weighs about 47 lbs. I am a friendly and bouncy gal who cannot wait to meet you! Looking for a new friend to live life to the fullest with? I'm your gal! I am outgoing and love exploring, sniffing, and running in the yard for fun. I have lots of energy, so I'd be a great new adventure buddy for you; we can go on hikes and check out the beach! :) I'm a smart lady, but still learning my manners, so please be patient and ready to teach me. I'd love to meet you, and any resident dogs, before adoption. Come in to meet me today! Bailey ID# A0984610 I recently went on a field trip with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did: Bailey did really well. We went hiking and finished with a short jog. She was friendly and wanted to say hi to everyone and every dog, but also easily redirected as we walked on. She was curious and enjoyed sniffing all the new scents on the trail. She was a good jogging partner. She also enjoyed running in the yard once we were back at the house, but also settled down in the shade after a while. She was sweet, affectionate and likes all the toys (squeaky stuffed animal, rope toy and tennis ball etc.) I hope she finds a home soon!   Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by.
