Story
Hello, I'm Daisy! I'm a curious and playful pup, always up for an adventure. My favorite things include making new friends, both human and canine, and exploring all the exciting smells and sounds the world has to offer. I'm a friendly and social butterfly, and I love everyone I meet! My story starts on a busy road, where I was found by some kind people. They took me to a wonderful place called a shelter, where I've been cared for and loved. I'm so grateful for all the help I've received, and I can't wait to find my forever family. I'm a quick learner and almost house-trained. I am learning to walk on a leash, and I'm also crate-trained, which makes me a very good girl! I'm still a young puppy, about four months old, so I'm full of energy and ready for all the fun and love that life has to offer. I will be a medium-sized dog when fully grown, so I'm the perfect size for all sorts of adventures! I'm up-to-date on all my vaccines, and I'll be spayed soon, which just means I'm ready to find my forever home. If you're looking for a playful and loving companion, I'm your girl! I promise to bring joy and happiness to your life and to always be your loyal friend. So, what are you waiting for? Please fill out an adoption application at www.alcovypet.org to meet Daisy !

Story
Lily is a 5 year old beagle mix. She lost her home when the owners left her behind. We got Lily and got her completely vetted. Lily is a very sweet girl and at first can be shy until she gets to you. Lily came to us very sick. We thought Lily had a UTI but it turns out she had a huge bladder stone. Lily has since had surgery & will need to eat urinary specialty food the rest of her life. Lily will need a commitment to feed her & not let her eat any other food.  Lily is a very sweet girl who loves to play with smaller dogs.  If you would like to meet Lily, please fill out an on line adoption application at www.alcovypet.org  Alcovy's Beagles require a secure fenced-in yard.  Our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines, up to date on heart-worm preventative and flea preventative and micro-chipped. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on Alcovy Pet Rescue's website at www.alcovypet.com. You must have a vet reference to adopt. We verify the care of past/current pets. Applications without a vet reference will not be approved for adoption. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats and therefore we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on Alcovy Pet Rescue's website at www.alcovypet.com.  You must have a vet reference to adopt.  We verify the care of past/current pets.  Applications without a vet reference will not be approved for adoption. Story
Meet Bev — an approximately 9-year-old female Beagle mix with a soft, gentle spirit and the sweetest personality. Bev came to us as a stray, and she’s now hoping to find a loving forever home where she can finally feel safe and cared for. This lovely girl is calm, quiet, and easygoing. She has a tender nature and enjoys peaceful companionship more than anything else. Bev is the kind of dog who will happily curl up nearby and simply enjoy being part of your world.Despite her age and her uncertain past, Bev remains incredibly sweet and trusting. She doesn’t ask for much — just a warm place to rest, kind hands, and a family who will love her for who she is.If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion with a gentle heart, Bev may be the perfect match. Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook athttps://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.

Story
Captain is an adorable, healthy younger senior — a beagle/shepherd mix, around 9 or 10 years old — looking for a long-term foster or forever home. While he lives peacefully with other dogs, he’ would prefer to not share his person, and would be happy to have you all to himself - or with maybe a cat friend, as his past best friend was a feline.  LIFESTYLE: Calm, easygoing, fine being left alone. Fully housebroken. Doesn't get on furniture or chew things he shouldn't.LIKES:  Riding in a car, chasing a ball (and then you chasing him back), belly rubs, kids & babies of any kind, kitties, getting brushedLIKES NOT SO MUCH: Thunderstorms, baths (showers ok), hair dryers (towel drying a big YES), vacuum cleaners (even if off). A little too curious about fowl, so no chickens please. Just a good ol’ boy looknig for a peaceful home and somebody to love and love him back.  If you think you can be Captain's mate, let us know at dirtroaddoggiesrescue.org.To foster, complete a Foster App; to adopt, complete an Adoption App and specify Captain as your dog of interest.  ##2527573##
