Dexter is approximately 2 years old and is the perfect size at 25lbs. He is very playful and loves to go on walks.  He also acts like a clown for a treat, and will perform all the basic commands/tricks. Dexter is an active and curious boy that has been caught climbing/jumping a 6 foot fence so should not be left outside without his humans. Dexter does not get any enjoyment from other dogs and would be most happy as an only dog. He has not been tested with cats.  Dexter has a little seperation anxiety and prefers his person be home more than not.   He is crate trained, fully potty trained, up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. He loves people and craves their attention and snuggles. Meet Sarah, the Beagle. Beagles make excellent companions. They can be a little stubborn at times, but really who isn't?!? They are intelligent and affectionate. Beagles seem to read our emotions and body language and know how to comfort us when we need it most. Sarah is no exception. Sarah has been a steadfast companion for 10 years but sadly her elderly human needs more specialized care than Sarah can give. We want Sarah to find a family who will love & cherish her for the rest of her life. Sarah is 10 years old, current on vaccinations, spayed, chipped, house trained and just a gorgeous dog. Davis was rescued from a NE GA shelter.  He weighs 15 lbs., and is 12 months old.  He looks to be a Beagle/JRT/Dachshund mix.  He has some trust issues, especially with men.  He’s been in his foster home for a week now, and he adores his foster mom!  He doesn’t like to be made to go outside and if she tries to pick him up to take him out, he has been known to nip at her hands although he has not hurt her.  She is persistent though, and picks him up and then he is fine with kisses and snuggles.  Davis doesn’t allow his foster dad to pick him up at all, so he waits to go outside when mom gets home, or he will use a puppy pad.  He will go into a crate to eat his food, but as soon as he is done, he barks to get out.  He is playful and rambunctious with other dogs.  At night, he will not sleep in his crate, he barks and barks, so his foster mom hoists him into bed with her and he snuggles down for the night, sometimes sleeping on her pillow, other times on top of her!  He would benefit greatly from obedience classes, and we’re sure he’d make a great pet for a home with children over the age of 12 who would understand that Davis can only be picked up on his terms.  We would prefer a home with dachshund experience because of his long torso, and a home with another dog.  Like all of our Beagles he requires a secure, fenced-in yard.  This little Beagle is a very fun little guy!   Elliot is a 3-4 year old Bluetick beagle basset mix. He weighs about 38 lb and every inch of him is pure love. He loves to snuggle with you on the couch and roll over in your lap for belly rubs. He can be quite vocal when he sees kitty cats though. Elliot loves to sniff every inch of your yard. He gets along great with other dogs and loves children too. Boomer is a beautiful 5 year old beagle mix. Boomer weighs approximately 25 lbs.When Boomer came to us he was in need of many medical services including a dental. Butterscotch is a sweet 4-year-old lemon beagle. He weighs about 18 lb. He is the perfect combination of couch potato and playfulness. Every time one of us walks into the room his tail wags like crazy. He approaches us tentatively and then he'll put his legs up on our legs for his petting and will roll over for a belly rub now. He's quiet at night he sleeps either on my Queen Anne chair or one of the large doggy beds. He has a healthy appetite & he takes his treats nicely. Butterscotch is a sweet little beagle who just needs a loving permanent home.  As with all of our beagles Butterscotch requires a secure fenced in yard.
