Hi! I am Bacon!  Apply today on the MACS Friends website! I am a keen observer of my surroundings, watching everything and taking it all in—a true sign of my intelligence! I am just starting to learn that cuddles are wonderful, but my favorite pastimes are running in the yard, playing with toys, and pouncing on anything that moves. My most famous quirk? I am a drama queen! If you try to call me inside before I'm ready, I will theatrically "faint," dropping to the ground with a playful look. When you come to pick me up, I will go completely boneless and limp over your arms, expecting the full Princess Treatment as I am carried inside. It's a routine that proves I am ready for a life of luxury!  I am looking for patient adopters who understand that the deepest bonds take time to build.  I love playing with other dogs! My social dynamics are flexible: I can be dominant with submissive dogs, but submissive with more confident ones. I would thrive in a home with another dog that matches my energy level. Story
Ruby had been with us for almost 10 years, she is 11 now. We recently moved and cannot keep her so we are looking to rehome her. She is an indoor dog, very mild mannered and is house-trained....she will tell you when she needs to go out by going to the door and barking or going in circles. She is about 11 years old but still very active and likes to play with toys etc and fetch. She has had a a previous hip/leg injury from before we adopted her but it doesn't prevent her from doing anything she just walks a little funny. She is great with kids and grew up with ours along with cats and another dog. She has no history of any aggression towards people or animals but she does bark a little when someone comes to the door which we always liked as a warning with having kids at home. Meet Bonbon! This sweet 5-year-old, 20-pound Beagle was rescued from a devastating hoarding case involving 80 other Beagles. Bonbon is a gentle, low-energy girl who can be a bit timid, so she’s looking for a patient, loving adopter to guide her as she learns the joys of her new life. She absolutely adores snuggles and will blossom into a devoted companion for someone willing to show her that humans can be kind, the world isn’t so scary, and life can be truly beautiful. She is working on her leash training but would greatly benefit in a home with a fenced-in yard and another dog who can provide companionship for her. Coming Soon... Meet Betty Boop. Betty Boop is a beagle that is estimated to be 4 years old. We recently rescued several beagles from a local animal control. Furkids is in the process of vetting all of these dogs. Once they are completely vetted, they will be available for meet and greets and then adoption. We are going to begin screening applications in advance, so that we can get them to their forever home as soon as possible! What we know... these babies are all very SWEET. Because they came from a hoarding case, they have had minimal human exposure and are now learning what it's like to be a normal dog. These dogs will require a fenced yard, as they can't walk on a leash. Due to the breed and how much they like to howl, we are not recommending apartments due to noise concerns.
