Betty Lou is a super sweet compact girl who is happiest just 'being'. She is an old soul in a 2-year-old body. She is crate & house trained & has very polite leash manners. Story
Harley is a sweet girl, about 10 years old. She was rescued in 2018, along with 3 other Beagles (Bonnie, Clyde and Max) at different times. Since then, Bonnie and Max were rehomed and Clyde was put down end of last year due to congestive heart failure. I am a retired 23 year veteran who has PTSD, ADHD and anxiety issues. I take medication for such. Harley is sweet and loving, but has some anxiety which is playing heavy with mine unfortunately. She needs love and companionship in a healthy home environment.

Story
McGraw Willie is an adorable, tiny, Beagle boy with a big personality packed into his 22-pound frame. At six years old, he’s the perfect age - past most of the puppy chaos, but still full of life and love. McGraw Willie is a total cuddle bug and would happily be your dedicated TV-watching companion or bedtime snuggle partner. He forms strong bonds with his people and truly thrives on human connection. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who wants to be close to you, McGraw Willie may be your perfect match. This smart boy learns quickly and enjoys spending time with his humans, especially when it includes one of his favorite activities — leash walks! McGraw Willie loves getting out to explore the world alongside his person. He ideally would like a fenced in yard so he can be in charge of the neighborhood watch and bark at any predators.   McGraw Willie would do best as the only dog in the home, as he can sometimes be reactive toward other dogs. He is currently living with 7 other dogs in his foster home and has adjusted in the past few weeks to sharing. He’s happiest when he doesn’t have to share his people. Because McGraw Willie is a proud Beagle and does enjoy using his voice, a home with shared walls (apartments, condos, or townhomes) may not be the best fit. A single-family home where he can bark less about the neighbors would help him succeed.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Meet Bumper — A Brave Young Beagle Looking for a Special Home One-Year-Old Beagle | Neutered | Up-to-Date on Vaccines Bumper’s story is one of survival and slow transformation. After being lost and on his own for five long months, this 1-year-old beagle is finally safe and beginning to learn how to be a dog again. He's shy, cautious, and still unsure about human touch, but he’s showing us he wants to try. Bumper is currently in foster care, observing and learning from the other dogs in the home. They’re helping him gain confidence and showing him that it’s okay to relax and trust. He’s taking baby steps, and every day is a victory. Because of his past, Bumper is a high flight risk and will need extra care when it comes to containment and leashing. He does not like to be touched or picked up, and he needs an adopter who understands that trust is earned slowly and gently. We are looking for an experienced beagle owner to become Bumper’s forever family. His ideal home will be: Beagle-savvy and knowledgeable about their sensitive nature and strong noses Patient, calm, and consistent, with no pressure to rush his progress Dedicated to ongoing training and socialization at Bumper’s pace Securely fenced yard and/or escape-proof containment Home with at least one confident, friendly dog to guide and comfort him Bumper isn’t ready to be your snuggle buddy yet, but he is ready to begin the journey with someone who truly understands him. If you're the person who sees potential in the shy ones and has the heart to help them blossom, Bumper is waiting to meet you. Could you be the one to help this brave boy find his way home?     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Doxy is a 9 year old, 17 pound, Beagle/Doxy mix. He was returned to AAU because his adopter was going into a senior living situation. He is a very sweet little dog. He does bark a lot, so he can not live in an apartment or condo. He is house trained, but he’s on Lasix (a fluid pill) for his heart condition. He can only be left for a few hours or so, depending on the time you gave the medication.    Speaking of his heart condition, Doxy does have rather advanced heart disease. He is on 2 other heart medications besides the Lasix. And I’ll add to his being left, that he has separation anxiety. He needs a home with another sweet dog. I would not crate him. I do have 2 personal dogs and I give them and Doxy the run of the house when I leave.    Doxy also has urinary crystals and must be on a special diet. Finally, he has Gallbladder disease for which he must take medication. Summing it up, he will be on a special diet and medication for the rest of his life. He would do best with a fenced yard because of his medication.   I know he sounds like a train wreck, but he’s a very good dog. He loves everyone and other dogs. He is not a fan of cats. Doxy is very attached to his people and smart! He picked up our routine quickly. He enjoys watching TV on the sofa.    Doxy is also a good watch dog. He spends much of his day “lounging”. He loves, loves, loves his evening leash walks. Honestly, you would never know he had any health issues when you meet him. I am retired and have a busy life. Doxy’s health issues have not interfered with my lifestyle. He has only added love to our household! An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue. Doxy is a sweet and loving 9-year-old Beagle/Dachshund mix weighing in at 17 pounds. This charming little guy adores everyone he meets and gets along well with other dogs, though cats aren’t quite his cup of tea. What makes Doxy special:   Doxy has some medical needs, so he’s looking for a dedicated and compassionate -person to provide him with the care he deserves. He’ll need to stay on a special diet to prevent urinary crystals and will require lifelong medications for his heart and gallbladder. Despite these challenges, Doxy is full of life and love! His perfect home: --A fenced yard where he can easily go out.  He's potty trained but prefers going out every 4 - 5 hours. --A stay-at-home parent or someone with a flexible schedule to keep him company and help with his separation anxiety. Having another sweet dog in the home helps him feel secure, too! --A peaceful setting, as Doxy’s barky moments may not suit apartment or condo living.   What Doxy loves: --Evening leash walks—his absolute favorite activity! --Lounging during the day and snuggling on the sofa to watch TV with his family. --Being involved in family routines, as he’s a smart boy who quickly adapts to new schedules.   Though he’s a great watchdog and has some special needs, Doxy doesn’t let his medical issues slow him down. His foster mom, a busy retiree, says he has only brought love and joy into her home. Doxy is looking for someone as special as he is—someone who will give him the love and care he needs to thrive.          March 7, 2026, 7:49 pm
