Story
Age: 8 (approximate) Coat: Short-haired (1-2 inches), does shed when pet (needs to be brushed) Diet: Purina (1/2 scoop 2x per day) Reason for Re-Home: • Owner has 2 small children and current house is not large enough to live in space harmoniously Injuries: • Was hit by a car in 2023 and has damage to pelvis and back left leg; is able to walk fine, can run short distances Housing Requirements: • Owner’s are home constantly/more often than not • No small children (that yell, corner her, pull on her, etc.) • No other animals (like cats or small pets) • Monkey does have a history of biting at/nipping at small children if she feels cornered or overwhelmed (reactively, not intentionally). • Therefore, it would be best for her new home to be adults without small children, preferably who are homebodies and do not leave or go away for moderate to long periods of time. • She has also nipped/growled at adults if her injured back leg is pulled or moved in a manner that is painful to her.

Story
Arlo is a beagle mix breed and he’s 4 years old. I adopted Arlo from Hope Haven Canine Rescue. Arlo is one of the greatest loyal dogs you’ll ever have. He’s extremely playful and loves to socialize with other dogs. He recently completed his basic training through petco. He is sweet, loving, and very active. He enjoys morning, afternoon walks and hiking! Arlo truly meets the criteria of a life long friend. Arlo is crate trained and potty trained. The best family Arlo would fit in is with an active family. He will be great in a home that has a fenced yard, and is able to roam around. A family who will give him the attention and love that he deserves! Arlo loves dog park’s!!!

Story
Meet Karai!!! Karai is a 5-year-old, beagle TWCH beagle mix, who's been with us since fall 2020. Karai came to us transferred in from another rescue. She was extremely feral, supposedly. With time she showed us she is timid and shy but curiosity gets the best of her, always. Karai needs a home that will, embrace her curiosity, encourage her and not feel bad or sorry for her. She needs patience and nurturing, but an environment where she will not be held back nor limited. Be confident it's all okay. Every day is new to her as she improves. We do not shelter her or take any outrageous precautions to accommodate her insecurities. We encourage and expose her and introduce her to as many things, places, toys, food, locations, and adventures as possible. She is thriving and continues to thrive and improve every day! Karai is great with all dogs. She is best in the home with other dogs. She can be very playful with all dogs, and respectful of cats. Older kids would be best, if any. Karai loves her daily walks, a nice fence in the yard 4 ft minimum is a must, and a home with at least one other balanced, active, playful outgoing dog who will help her continue to overcome her fears is preferred. Karai is very food motivated. Oh, man is she ever! Loves all food! She is still a bit jumpy but each day we notice improvement. Patience is the key to best helping her be the best dog she was meant to be. Plus she's so sweet and calm and best of all LAZZZYYY! Karai is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto and corona as well as rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration, spay, and current on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention. Updated: 3/24/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Story
Meet Tessa! A 3 year old beagle English bulldog mix. I guess one of them designer Mutts. Beautiful dog indeed she is but..... Takes a very patient , willing, and very understanding person to adopt Tessa. Sadly she has had 3 homes and everyone quit as she was all over the map (she is much better now). She does it all and has no care as she does NOT HIDE WHEN DOING NAUGHTY THINGS. She is a total sweet heart. Bless her heart! She is just mischievous as hell! We are working hard to eliminate those awful behaviors. All while on a strict diet and lots of exercise through out the day. In the last few months she has lost good weight (she was too fat), has learned, and accepts correction, and progress is being made with basic obedience training. She is great when asked to stay still for baths, nail trimming, teeth brushing, ear cleaning finally! She is cat, dog, and kid friendly too! Tessa is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.
