These are benign lumps that are commonly found in dogs.(more info at ARL) All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. Melvin is a young beagle mix who we are learning more about every day! He recently went on a home day trip and we learned he is good with kids and would probably do well with another dog and could coexist with cats! He was in the home for approximately 6 hours with no potty accidents. He is a dream pup - another head-scratcher as to why he is in a shelter; but he won`t be for long. He`d make someone a fabulous family pet!
