Ginger was rescued by me and my daughter 11 years ago. We found her under a tractor when she was 4 months old. Now my daughter has moved away and I am not home enough to properly give her attention. I would love for her to be with those who can spend more time with her.

Story
Pepper is a sweet and affectionate Beagle looking for a loving, forever home. He has a gentle personality, loves people, and is happiest curled up beside you soaking up attention, belly rubs, and cuddles. Pepper enjoys companionship just as much as playtime and has a calm, comforting presence that makes him easy to love. Sadly, Pepper’s previous owner passed away about 8 months ago, and since then he has been waiting patiently for a family to love him again. Despite the changes in his life, Pepper has remained friendly, trusting, and eager to form new bonds with people. He thrives on affection and would do wonderfully in a home where he can be part of the family and receive plenty of love and attention. Pepper enjoys short walks, cozy naps, treats, and being near his humans. Like many beagles, he is curious and enjoys exploring his surroundings, but at heart he is a cuddle companion who simply wants to feel safe and loved again.

Story
Meet Lewey: A Beagle Who Never Gave Up Hope Some dogs come to us with stories that break our hearts but also remind us just how resilient dogs can be. Meet Lewey, a sweet 1 year old, 27.5-pound Beagle who spent approximately four months surviving on his own, wandering as a stray and trying to make it through each day. Despite numerous efforts, no one came forward looking for him, and there were no reports of him missing. Thankfully, Lewey's story took a turn for the better when a compassionate family refused to give up on him. After weeks of trying, they were finally able to safely trap and rescue him. His rescuers immediately got him veterinary care, vaccinations, and, most importantly, a safe place to begin healing. It's clear that Lewey has not always been treated with the kindness he deserves. He can be timid and cautious when meeting new people, but every day, this brave little Beagle is learning that not all humans will hurt him. And the progress he has made is incredible. Lewey absolutely adores other dogs. In fact, his foster family's dog has become his security blanket, best friend, teacher, and confidence coach all rolled into one. He follows his canine buddy everywhere and is learning how wonderful life as a beloved family dog can be. With patience, love, and another friendly dog to show him the ropes, Lewey continues to blossom. A huge thank you to Samantha and her family for refusing to look the other way, for rescuing Lewey, caring for him, and continuing to foster him while he waits for his forever family. Because of your kindness, Lewey's future is brighter than ever. Now, Lewey is ready for the next chapter of his journey, a forever home filled with love, patience, and the security he has always deserved. We know the perfect family is out there waiting for this sweet boy. If you are interested in meeting Lewey, please submit an adoption application through our website.

Story
Meet Janie! 7 years old | Reisterstown, MD Some dogs bounce back quickly after change… Janie is quietly learning how to heal. After losing both her dog sibling and, shortly after, her beloved owner, Janie’s entire world changed. Everything familiar — her home, routine, and sense of security — disappeared. Now, this gentle girl is looking for a soft place to land and a family willing to help her feel safe again. Janie is the definition of a sweet, easygoing companion. She may not immediately climb into your lap for attention, but she has slowly started seeking out gentle affection on her own terms — and those little moments feel incredibly special. Once she trusts you, her quiet love shines through. Janie’s Favorites & Personality •Low-energy, calm companion •Loves car rides •Enjoys chewing on bones and frozen Kongs •Likes soft toys and cozy naps •Gentle, kind, and quietly affectionate The Basics • Mostly house trained • Dog-friendly (and would love a dog companion!) • Great with kids, including visiting nieces and nephews • Walks nicely on leash • Happy to sleep in bed with her people Janie truly seems happiest with another dog nearby and people around more often. She currently spends long stretches crated and manages, but it causes her anxiety — she would thrive in a home where someone is home more frequently or has a flexible/work-from-home schedule. Janie’s Dream Home • A fenced yard to safely explore and sniff around • A friendly resident dog for companionship • A family home more often than not • Patient adopters willing to let her settle in at her own pace Janie doesn’t need much — just kindness, patience, and a family willing to give her time to bloom again. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will quietly steal your heart, Janie may be your perfect match.
