Story
Sean-Beagle male, Senior, ~ 8 - 10 yr. old (Sept. 2023) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. This sweet fella is losing his home, due to his owner's dementia. His people can't take care of him anymore and asked Rescue to help him find a new home. He's enjoying life in a foster home now, good with the other pets. He's happy to have a chair, or soft dog bed to rest on. A breed described as 'merry' by its fanciers, Beagles are loving and lovable, happy, and companionable, all qualities that make them excellent family dogs. He will be a loyal, loving companion and a wonderful new family member. Sean's adoption fee is $300. Story
Bagel is a 1.5-year-old beagle with a lot of energy and is super happy. He needs a home where he can run around a lot and people who can play with him. He is such a great dog and I would keep him if I didn't have such a busy work schedule where I can't walk him enough times during the day.

Story
Hi, I’m Mabel. I'm a 1 year old hound mix. Before coming to PAW, I was living in West Virginia. Sadly, I was given up by my previous human because they had too many of us at home. On the bright side, I’m good with other dogs! Given all the recent changes, I’m a little shy and sometimes unsure of myself. However, I know my sweet personality will shine through in a loving home, and perhaps with another confident dog to show me the ropes. The nice man who transported me to PAW said I was sweet and polite when meeting other dogs, and he thanked me for not soiling his car seats. He also told me I was a good girl because I didn’t bark at other dogs and in the car. The car ride with the  nice man was fine, but I’d worry about getting carsick if I’m in the car for more than 2 hours. Can you blame me for getting dizzy with all the cars and trucks zooming by? I hope my forever home will shower me with love and treats while being patient with me as I gain confidence. I also hope they will help me perfect my walk on the leash so I can strut my stuff with my new family. PAW places animals in the Washington, DC/Baltimore Metropolitan area only. ##1804321##

Story
Karma such a perfect name for this girl that is good karma. She is a Jack Russell mixed with a bagel. Wonderful girl to have around. She is housetrained, walks well on a leash, enjoys car rides and just loves to be with her humans. She gets along great with other dogs and loves children but would do best in a home with children 10 and up. She’s currently living in a home with a toddler who likes to pull Karma’s ears and tail. This girl is just a love one would melt your heart immediately. Text Ada at 276-494-6718
