Story
Bella is a gentle, mild‑mannered 15‑year‑old dog who loves walks, treats, and FreshPet food. She’s great with cats and responds best to loud voices or whistles due to her hearing loss. Bella has severe food sensitivities and can only eat FreshPet; other foods cause uncontrollable diarrhea. She is also fully incontinent and cannot tell when she needs to go, often urinating in her sleep or when relaxed. She needs to be let outside about every two hours and drinks a lot of water because of age‑related kidney decline. Bella is a sweet senior who needs a patient, understanding home that can support her special needs. With the right care, she can enjoy a comfortable and loving final chapter. If you have a doggie door where she can go in and out, this would be great for her. If you live on a farm or have a huge yard where she can run around and "go" as often as she likes, that would be a great home for her. If you live in an apartment/condo/townhome with no yard this would not be ideal.

Frodo has a gentle, laidback personality that makes him an easy and delightful companion. He’s perfectly content to relax by your side, but he also truly loves his daily walks. It’s the best of both worlds: a buddy for cozy afternoons and a partner for peaceful strolls.     He gets along beautifully with other dogs, especially those who share his mellow vibe. Frodo would thrive in a home that appreciates his easygoing nature and gives him the love and companionship he so deserves. After all these years, Frodo is ready to find a forever home where he can settle in, be cherished, and spend his golden years surrounded by kindness.     If you’re looking for a loyal, loving friend who will quietly steal your heart, Frodo just might be your perfect match.  Apply today to come meet Frodo—and you'll see how special a senior dog can be. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Dia's story began at a crowded shelter in Alabama, where adoptions move slowly and the odds weren't in her favor. Thankfully, K-9 Lifesavers stepped in to give this deserving girl a second chance — and now she's ready to find her forever people. Could that be you? Our best guess is that Dia is a Beagle / Aussie / Collie mix who will likely weigh around 35–40 pounds fully grown. But what we know for certain? She is a complete sweetheart. Dia loves being around other dogs and is happiest when she has furry friends to play with — but she'll also happily settle in for cozy snuggles and some one-on-one love. At her young age, she's in the perfect window for training and socialization, ready to soak up everything you teach her. This girl has been through a lot, and she deserves a soft place to land. Apply today and change Babe Dia's life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training.
