Story
🌼 Meet DaylilyDaylily is a 5‑year‑old Beagle who came to us from Georgia after being found as a stray. Based on her condition and demeanor, she was more than likely used as a breeding dog until she became “too old” — but those days are behind her now. What she’s shown us since arriving is nothing short of wonderful. She has been perfect in every way: gentle, affectionate, easygoing, and grateful for every bit of kindness. She’s currently living in our volunteer dorm, and everyone who meets her falls head over heels almost instantly. She soaks up attention, loves being near people, and has that soft, soulful presence that makes you feel calm just being around her.Despite all the love she’s getting here, Daylily is still waiting for the one thing she deserves most — a forever family of her own. She’s ready to trade her past for a future filled with comfort, companionship, and a home where she’ll finally be cherished.Daylily's adoption fee is $250, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! Story
CURLY Breed: hound-beagle mix Age: 1 year Weight: 55 pounds Adoption Fee: $275 Vetting Status: neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed and maintained on heartworm preventatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Curly is a super social, kissy, big guy. He adores all his doggie friends, large & small. Although he has not been tested with children, we suspect that he would absolutely love to have kids to play with! Curly originally came into rescue labeled a beagle/beagle mix & has grown into his puppy legs, proving to be more of a hound mix in size. He is crate trained, housetrained & OK on a leash.... though he would much prefer to run crazy in your fenced backyard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CURLY is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!

Story
Here they are, the pups you've been waiting for. Born 12/31 to the Momma surrendered to a local animal shelter. Their Dad was surrendered as well, and boy do these pups look like Daddy. Short legs and long, floppy ears. They are active and keep their noses to the ground. They are also friendly and social, if they sit still long enough for cuddles. We will begin accepting applications on 3/8 at noon. We will not keep any apps that come in before that. Those that attend our Puppy Yoga event will get first opportunity to apply. These pups are scheduled for spay/neuter 3/10 and can be picked up / officially adopted after that. The application on 3/8 will "hold" a puppy for you until adoption 3/11. We also have an open adoption event after the Puppy Yoga from 12-2 where people can meet these pups and apply. Foster location: Abingdon, MD Event: Middle River
