Story
Charleston was born 9-10-2019. Bought him from a kennel in Windom Mn. He is very friendly, loves to play tug-of-war, & lay in the sun! He likes to “steal” clean socks when he is helping fold them. Then you have to play a little tug-of-war to get it back all while he has a sparkle in his eye! Very nice dog-he was my sons (who moved out of state) & I am not a dog person-Charleston deserves someone who really likes him as he loves his people! The vet tells me all Beagles are like this: he sits on my feet whenever I sit down. He lays next to me on the couch. The vet also says Beagles are not very obedient without a treat: we do find if we let him out at night he won’t come in without a treat or we have a leash we put him on & give it a little tug & he comes right in. We have allowed him on all our furniture. We keep doors shut or use a baby gate to keep him out of rooms we don’t want him in. Comes with his bed, food, leashes, brushes, kennel, etc…

A family to call your own." I had one,,,,,,, but they surrendered me.  I am not sure why and I shudder saying this but I am LAPLESS! Sure I got this nice foster crib but they said they are here to help me find my forever lap.  I guess that is what they do.     I came here after an extremely long van ride with my sister Sadie.  I love this foster home.  They have all kinds of crazy things going on here.  I am getting used to these smaller adults that live here.  I am told they are called children.  I guess they just want to pet me and give me love so in the end, it is working out.     They don't like me chasing this little thing they call a cat.  I am not used to squirrel-like creatures running around inside.  Weird right???   My foster family says I am a great walking companion.  They are also really impressed with my ability to beg for food.  I have been perfecting this for years and am proud of how good I am at it.     I love to play fetch.  When my foster family throws me a ball I am also very good at bouncing it in the air off my snout.  I think they called it volleyball.  Anyway, it really gets them laughing.    Well, I could go on and on about how great I am.................. Ultimately I need to find my forever crib.  I hope to be seated sweetly on your lap soon.  Apply today.   Duke         October 1, 2023, 3:09 pm

Story
Name: Gypsy Marie Age: 1 yr Gender: Female Breed: Fox Hound/Beagle Mix Weight: 29 lb. Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: yes, dog-savvy cats, please Child friendly: Yes House trained: Yes Crate trained: yes Energy level: moderate/active Temperament: very loving, playful, curious, intelligent    Adoption Fee: $400+tax To adopt, go to: www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html From the Foster Family:   Gypsy has adapted well to her new environment.  She is doing excellent with house training and lets me know when she has to go out.  She gets along great with my 2-year-old resident dog.  She is getting increasingly curious about the cat so I feel it best if she only has access to dog-savvy cats.  Gypsy does just fine in her crate and we only use it when we are not home.  She enjoys playing with balls and chewing bones.  She will need more training on the leash but she seems very smart and catches onto commands very quickly.  She’s not a very big pup but she is able to jump high if the right squirrel or rabbit comes along!  She plays hard and then likes to nap right next to her humans.  Gypsy has been a pleasure to have in our home.  She is a sweet girl who deserves a great home.  Won't you fill out an application to meet this beauty??
