While he may not ribbit- this boy can definitely hop! Frogger is a 1 year old beagle/Australian shepherd cross. He is cute as can be just as much fun!Frogger absolutely loves other dogs. He does great with dogs of all sizes and ages. He, obviously, prefers a wrestling buddy but is equals happy with a snuggle buddy! He is pretty indifferent to the cats in his foster home. He is good with the kids in his foster family. He is great in his crate and the house.Frogger is a really fun, active, and smart boy that needs a family that willing and able to keep his brain and his body active. He is a champion runner and is a great training companion. He also would make a phenomenal working dog- obedience, tracking, agility, rally - the possibilities are endless!Frogger is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He has also tested negative for heartworm disease. His adoption fee is $450.00 plus sales tax. Please submit an adoption application if you would like to meet this fun guy!

AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue. Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia. All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit. Buddy's adoption fee is $300.00 All our dogs are completely vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We are currently accepting applications for Buddy. Buddy was surrendered to a Veterinary clinic in the Tulsa OK area. His owner had moved, out of country, and left Buddy with family members. The family did not want Buddy and surrendered him for euthanasia. The veterinary staff could not euthanize Buddy and kept him in a crate until they could find a rescue or adopter. Buddy lived in this crate for 40 days. Buddy needs a securely fenced yard as he loves to visit nearby neighbors and confiscate articles of property that do not belong to him. Buddy needs a human that will have time, patience, and love for him. He has been neglected and allowed to roam freely. He needs a routine and structure. He loves to be outside and thoroughly enjoys leash walking. Buddy shows some issues with resource guarding with other dogs. He has been through training and his new owner will have to carry through with positive reinforcement. We have not had an issue with guarding against humans. Buddy is of the Beagle breed, a natural hunter, therefore, we are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard and a family with one Pet Parent that is a stay-at-home parent, or one which works from home; a family that can help Buddy acclimate to her new surroundings and environment with compassion, love, and patience. Please allow 6-8 weeks for Buddy to acclimate to the changes in his life. We would also like Buddy to be the only dog. Meet and greets are scheduled upon approved, completed application. If interested in meeting Buddy, please complete the application found on our website: almosthomefoster.com

Bowie is an independent soul. He gets along with other dogs, however, NO CATS. When transitioning to a new home, please allow 4-6 weeks for Freddie to adjust. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chuck is a 4 1/2 year old beagle who came to the shelter as an owner surrender. He's a pretty easygoing and affectionate guy who does have one big problem. He's very overweight. Food is definitely a big weakness for him. Chuck has been fully vetted but we are going to have him checked out just to make sure that there's no medical reason for his obesity. His adoption fee is $150. We would like to find Chuck a home that has some beagle experience. They are not a dog for everyone. They can be somewhat stubborn and tend to be ruled by their keen sense of smell. Chuck did live with older kids and has done well with other dogs. He has had a little bit of basic training but could always benefit from some more. Chuck has had no exposure to cats. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 30, 2024, 6:38 pm
