💗 Meet Zhuri – A Beautiful Soul Ready for Her New Beginning 💗
Zhuri means "beautiful" in Swahili, and there couldn't be a more fitting name for this sweet little beagle!
Zhuri is one of the lucky dogs who was freed from Ridglan Farms, a facility that breeds beagles for laboratory and biomedical experimentation. For her entire existence, her world was limited to the confines of a cage, and she never had the opportunity to experience the simple joys that every dog deserves- not a soft blanket, not a toy, not the sight of a blue sky, or even the feeling of grass beneath her feet. Now, she's discovering life from an entirely new perspective—and it's been nothing short of incredible to watch!
🦄👑 This petite and unique little unicorn princess may take a little time to warm up to new people, but beneath her cautious exterior is the gentlest, sweetest soul. Once Zhuri trusts you, she becomes your devoted shadow. She loves curling up beside you on the couch, snuggling in your lap, following you into the kitchen to supervise your every move, and sleeping close to her person at night. She’s then learning how to do neighborhood watch and discover what her shadow looks like outside (🎶 cue the occasional quintessential beagle baying 🎶)
Because so much of life is still new to her, Zhuri is learning what it means to simply be a dog. She's discovering toys, figuring out the whole "play" thing, and learning how to have fun alongside her foster siblings. While she's still working on understanding playtime, she's already earned expert-level status when it comes to cuddling. She absolutely adores other dogs and takes comfort in following their lead as she gains confidence and learns about the world around her.
** Zhuri will require a securely fenced yard and will also need a patient home with another confident, friendly dog who can continue showing her the ropes—helping her blossom into the dog she was always meant to be **
