Plum is a 2-year-old Beagle/Pit mix with a beautiful short tricolor coat (black, tan, and white) and a medium build at about 42 pounds. She’s house-trained, crate-trained for bedtime, and incredibly smart, honestly, she might just be the future valedictorian of obedience school! Plum is very tuned in to her humans and loves learning what you want from her.This sweet girl has a playful, puppy-like energy and thrives when she has outlets like training sessions and playtime. She loves a good bouncy ball (especially tossing it for herself!) and will happily show off her “sit” and “down.” One of her cutest quirks is her love of blankets, if you hold one open, she’ll burrow right underneath for cozy snuggles.Plum is still working on building confidence and managing her excitement. She can get overstimulated by outside noises and does have separation anxiety, so she would do best in a quieter home with adopters who are patient and willing to continue her training and help her practice calming skills. Because she may bark when left alone, she’s not the best fit for homes with shared walls. She would likely do best with humans who are home often and enjoy engaging with their dog through training and play.Plum is a bright, affectionate dog with tons of potential. Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. DeeDee is blossoming more each day now that she’s had time to settle in. She is shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. It does take time, so she is looking for someone who is patient and able to help her decompress gradually. This lovely girl is potty trained, though she is displaying some marking behaviors when she smells other dogs. We are hopeful her upcoming spay will end that. She is comfortable with just a few (1-2) steps down from the house—she’s still building confidence with full flights of stairs, and her future family can help her continue that journey at her own pace. Quiet, gentle, and incredibly easy to have around, DeeDee is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart.
