Story
Meet Fetch, he is a sweet little guy, said to be a Beafle / American Eskimo per the DNA results.   He was originally in a home with many, many dogs and under socialized with people. because of his previous surroundings, he is shy at first and barks, but once you grab a ball to play fetch or sit down to let him sniff and then request pets, he will be your best friend for life!!    Fetch is super playful, loves fetch, just learned that he is enjoying the pond to cool off with the other dogs.      He  is great in his crate, he goes right in (with a treat or his ball). He has done well with the six other dogs in the foster home, but we did take time to slowly integrate, as you know one little guy compared to six new dogs can be overwhelming…..especially after coming from a hoarding house. Consider bringing Fetch into your life; he promises to fill it with joy and endless games of fetch and will look   for belly rubs     Fetch's adoption fee is $200.00 which includes all shots, neuter, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the Adoption Application on our website at a4apetpantry.org Disclaimer: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of our dogs, we are only guessing at breed mix.  October 7, 2025, 10:54 pm

Story
Beagle/boxer mix 4 1/2 - year-old 35 lbs. Ronnie is a high energy beagle mix and loves to play. He is good with other dogs as he lives with a 13 year old Yorkie.  Probably would need slower introductions  to new dogs. He'd do best with another energetic same size dog in the home. He's a confident dog, who thinks he's a big dog. He can be somewhat intimidated by much larger dogs. He is house trained and also crate trained.  He's been around kids so with proper introductions he should be fine with older kids.  Due to his energy level, he may be too much for smaller kids. Ronnie is good with new people he meets but can be somewhat cautious until he gets to know you. Ronnie will require a fenced yard as he loves to chase squirrels and birds. He is working on leash training. This little guy is just a big wiggle butt and happy to see his foster dad when he comes home from work. Ronnie has recently graduated from the 12 Week Puppies for Parole training program offered through the Mo Department of Corrections.  While in training he was taught basic obedience and socialization skills.  He has learned various commands such as sit, stay, paw, heel, etc … and has acquired his good canine citizen honor. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Ronnie’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
