Story
Just like her namesake, Meredith Grey is resilient, loyal, and definitely giving that "main character" energy. She's around 8-year-old, 16-pounds, and has the most endearing permanent head tilt. Likely the result of a past injury, it doesn’t slow her down one bit, it just makes her look like she’s thoughtfully analyzing everything you say. (Yes, it's as cute as you're imagining.)Meredith is very sweet and gentle, loving nothing more than getting all the pets you're willing to dole out. She loves to eat, settles well in a crate, and is acclimating to life inside a home. She’s still working on house training and will need a patient, consistent adopter committed to helping her succeed. While she greatly enjoys human affection, Meredith can be a bit assertive with other dogs, so would do best as an only dog in the home.Meredith is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed and started on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $250. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC. February 27, 2026, 12:58 am

Story
Meet Li’l Sebastian. Yes, that Li’l Sebastian… or at least the beagle mix Pawnee would absolutely build a festival around. At about 2 years old, this sweet little legend may not be the famous miniature horse Li'l Sebastian from Parks and Recreation, but in our hearts? Same icon status. Same tiny king energy. Same ability to make some people say, “I don’t get it,” while the rest of us are fully crying and lighting candles. Like any true celebrity, Li’l Sebastian can be a little timid when meeting new fans. The spotlight can feel big at first. Give him a little patience and kindness, and you will see him come out of his shell and show his playful, loving personality. Once he decides you are his person, he becomes a total velcro dog. Loyal. Devoted. Basically Leslie Knope level commitment. This boy loves his toys. Squeaky toys. Chew toys. Any toy worthy of a Parks Department ribbon cutting ceremony. He walks nicely on a leash and is happy to trot by your side like it is a Pawnee parade in his honor. He can be environmentally sensitive and may need a little extra reassurance as he adjusts to new places or experiences. With a patient adopter who lets him move at his own pace, his true personality really shines. And trust us, it is worth the wait. He may not be 5,000 candles in the wind, but this Li’l Sebastian is absolutely a legend in the making.

Meet Mumford!  Mumford is one of the sweetest beagles you’ll ever meet. Don’t let his one eye fool you—it doesn’t slow him down one bit! With classic beagle sniffing skills and great hearing, he navigates the world like a pro. He’s great with other dogs, does well with kids, and has a calm, easygoing personality. He enjoys the occasional play session and quick burst of zoomies, then happily settles in for a nap. Mumford loves cozy spots—whether it’s a dog bed, a basket of blankets, or curled up on the couch next to his foster. He’s crate trained for when his foster family is away and would make a loving, low-key companion in a forever home.   He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Mumford is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT MUMFORD!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit. January 26, 2026, 2:53 pm

Story
Betty Jean here!!!! I am a brilliant and Loving elder Lady that does not partake in the common issues you will have with a Puppy! I am confident and I love to sniff around in the yard. The bigger and better sniff areas in your yard the better! I obviously must be in an indoor home, but I LOVE to sniff! I live with small and large dogs but prefer larger or size of my own. Little fluffy dogs make me think I need herd them around :) I am fully vetted and healthy! I am being fostered in Taylors, SC BUT can travel to the right family that will come meet me :) A fenced yard is non-negotiable as I LOVE to sniff around and my nose would get me in trouble without a fence! A very Secure Fence is a MUST!!! If you meet the above qualifications and you think you can be my perfect home, please continue reading----Do not send an e-mail unless you have read all the way to the bottom of this Page 1.
