Story
Milo came to live with me approximately 3 years ago when I adopted him from the Wilson County Animal Shelter. He was so happy and came up to me and rolled over for me to rub his belly. I knew then and there he was the one. They told me he had been abused by his previous owners and he was found walking down the side of a highway. Milo doesn’t like loud noises. He will run away from a vacuum cleaner and if you’re sweeping the floor he won’t come near you. He doesn’t even like the sound that comes from the fire popping in the fire pit. With all that he’s been through in his short little life, he’s still the sweetest little boy. Everyone tells me all the time how good of a dog he is. I just want a very good home for my baby.

Story
Vanilla is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. She loves affection so much we're not sure there's a point at which she'd want someone to stop petting her. If she had her way, you'd pet her until your arm fell off. She loves being near her people, but for such an affectionate dog, she's not big on kisses. A plus for a lot of folks! Vanilla is only about a year old, so she's still a playful young lady. She loves toys, balls, and running around the yard. She is dog friendly and absolutely adores people. We don't think Vanilla has been taught any basic manners so she's learning everything now. She's already making great strides learning not to jump on people; she's mastered the dog door and potty training. Vanilla is a perfect angel, sleeping in her crate at night without complaint. When she was surrendered to the shelter her owner listed her as a Basset Hound, but we're not sure her former owner had actually ever seen a Basset Hound before. We think it's more likely that she's a Beagle, albeit a big one. Our girl could stand to lose a few pounds! Vanilla would do best in a single family home. Although she doesn’t bark a lot when her people are home, we’ve noticed she doesn’t like being left alone and barks some when she’s left. Apply to adopt this very good girl!

Vanilla was quite shy when we first got her, but has really been coming out of her shell. She's started going up to greet new people without any bribes! Vanilla is only about a year old, so she's still a playful young lady. She loves toys, balls, and running around the yard. She is dog friendly and absolutely adores people. Vanilla has met one cat and was a very polite young lady. She's met kids briefly, and we'd guess she'd do well with well-behaved children.
