You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Benny is looking for a special home.  This sweet handsome boy is 11 years young. He’s got pep in his step and flap in his giant ears. However, it is very clear that he has been through some trauma in the last few years, which has resulted in resource guarding behavior around food-related items. He also sometimes needs his space and requires that his people pet him only when he asks for attention.  The good news? He shows none of this behavior toward other dogs and his triggers can be managed with some careful set-up of his environment. The better news? Benny has been working on learning new behaviors with the help of a professional trainer. He will continue to need reinforcement of these new behaviors in his new home.  Benny needs to go to a home with adults only. Not because he doesn’t like kids, but because kids have a harder time with following the systems required to keep everyone safe. He would be happy with or without furry siblings and has lived with dogs, a cat, and a rabbit.  Do you have room in your heart and your house for an older gentleman who wants nothing more than a walk, a snack, and a nap? Can you modify the environment so that no food or food-adjacent trash is accessible to a determined beagle nose? Can you resist petting these big old ears unless requested? Bailey is a sweet girl. She is 7 years old, her birthday is October 31st 2018, we adopted her in 2019 from shelter with unknown background. She just wants to lay in your lap or watch out of the window or sleep curled up with you. she loves going on walks and getting treats and literally just being close to you. Bailey would do best with an experienced dog owner who understand hypersensitivity as she does not like commotion or a lot of noise; We have 4 kids and she is good with them, but when there is a lot of commotion and kids running around the house she gets very very anxious. She get stressed very easily and would do best in a one dog home but gets along with other dogs. We cannot give her the calm and quiet life she deserves and just want to see someone love her in an environment that is good for her!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website..Meet Little Jack . Little Jack is an adorable 5-year-old Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier mix who is looking for a loving home. He is wonderful with men, women, and children and is friendly with everyone he meets. With proper introductions, he does well with other dogs, too. Little Jack is a true cuddle-bug who loves being with his person and would happily spend his days as a lap dog. He has had surgery to repair a luxating patella in his knee and has made a full recovery. He is doing great now with no issues from his knee. Little Jack does have some separation anxiety, when left alone, he may pace and bark. He can be a little vocal at times, especially when he’s excited, but his sweet personality makes up for it. His ideal adopters should be home more often than not. A securely fenced yard is required for Little Jack. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate little companion who wants to be by your side, Little Jack may be your guy! ❤️   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption.
