Story
Meet Bruno! Bruno is new here at WCHS so we cannot confidently assess his personality just yet, but so far he has been an absolute sweetheart! He is quite smart and loves to sniff around: his favorite is to sniff around for a bouncy ball! If you want a canine friend who will be there for you thick and thin, Bruno is the one for you!  Some of Bruno's Favorite Things Include: Bouncy balls, yelling about how much he loves you, treats, kisses, and learning tricks  Kids: We are unsure how Bruno interacts with children. We always recommend going over proper animal handling with kids before introductions. Dogs: Bruno arrived with his older sister, Ruby. While he does well with her, we are unsure how well he does with other dogs. We recommend caution & supervision during introductions for the best chance of success. Cats: We do not know how Bruno does with feline friends. We advise patience and supervision during introductions for the best chance of success. Bruno is neutered, microchipped, & fully up-to-date on vaccines & preventions ##2734818##

Story
Meet Ruby! Ruby is new here at WCHS so we cannot confidently assess her personality just yet, but so far she has been a giant cuddlebug! She always wants to be in your lap and if she had a choice, she would fuse into your skin (with your permission, of course.) Ruby is a bit more shy than her brother, Bruno, but with some quality time, she will feel confident to let out her bark!  Some of Ruby's Favorite Things Include: Climbing ontop of you, speaking her mind, soft toys, treats Kids: We are unsure how Ruby interacts with children. We always recommend going over proper animal handling with kids before introductions. Dogs: Ruby arrived with her younger brother, Bruno. While she does well with him, we are unsure how well she does with other dogs. We recommend caution & supervision during introductions for the best chance of success. Cats: We do not know how Ruby does with feline friends. We advise patience and supervision during introductions for the best chance of success. NOTE: Ruby has had dental extractions in the past and may be picky with hard treats and kibble. Soft food/treats are prefered!  Ruby is spayed, microchipped, & fully up-to-date on vaccines & preventions ##2734817##

Jud came to Crossville from a shelter in West Tennessee. He is a reserved gentleman who will require a patient human to allow him to come out of his shell at his own pace though. He will most likely need time to acclimate to life inside a home. He has just entered a foster home with an experienced Beagle couple, so we will have more to report on him before long. Have you ever met a beagle that wasn't sweet and fun though?FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Murray! Murray is a senior Beagle/Chihuahua/Doxie mix estimated to be about 10 years old.  He was brought into a rural OH shelter along with his two canine friends. Murray is a gentle dog and, despite his age, has a spring in his step and can run surprisingly fast.  He displays those lovable [but occasionally annoying] Beagle behaviors such as magically appearing when there is food to be had, letting his nose direct his steps...usually in haste to the tantalizing smell, lavishing his affection on humans and efforts to 'escape' his harness and/or collar to follow his nose, hence the need for a securely fenced yard.  Murray enjoy walks and does well on leash.  He also enjoys just running around at his leisure for a bit before tuckering out and taking a nap.   He sometimes takes a bit of time to feel comfortable in his environment and runs to his crate, his 'safe space', when unsure of things.  Once comfortable, he wants to be wherever his human is.  He does exhibit mild separation anxiety, but relaxes when he can see you.  He has no aggression. He requires gentle verbal correction and cringes when approached from above, which may indicated he was hit.  He would do best with another canine companion around his size as he lights up when he meets another dog.  He currently lives with a 10 pound Pom mix and loves his company.  Murray is a solid 22 pounds.   Murray has no teeth so his tongue hangs out all the time.  His whole mouth was filled with rotted teeth and all had to be removed.  He also had fistulas where his upper canine teeth were, which were successfully sutured closed.  He eats only soft foods, but still has a healthy appetite.  Murray is UTD on vaccines, had a negative Heartworm test, is neutered and microchipped.  Murray would love a retirement home where he will be safe and comfy for his remaining years. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
