Story
Hey my name is Kinsley! I am a good dog looking for an owner willing to offer proper training, socialization, and exercise. I am a quick learner, and with the help of some yummy treats, I will make you proud with my excellent manners. I do have A LOT of energy and may be a bit too much for some families! However, a lot of energy also means a lot of LOVE! With time, training, and patience- you can help me be the best dog I can be! I can be selective when it comes to new friends, so I’d like to meet any potential dog siblings before I go home.

Story
Jud came to Crossville from a shelter in West Tennessee. He is a reserved gentleman who will require a patient human to allow him to come out of his shell at his own pace though. He will most likely need time to acclimate to life inside a home. He has just entered a foster home with an experienced Beagle couple, so we will have more to report on him before long. Have you ever met a beagle that wasn't sweet and fun though?5/16/26--UPDATE--Jud has been in our foster home for two weeks now. He is house trained in his foster home but may need watching while acuminating to a new home. He is quiet for a Beagle not barking at everything that moves. lol. He is not food motivated.which is unusual for a Beagle. The behaviors that are positives are he loves his large dog bed on the floor. He does not jump on people or furniture. He does not beg for food at the table. He loves his stuffed toys and cuddles with them at night. He likes other dogs, cats, children and women. He does back away from most men but shows no aggression. He is walked twice a day and we are working on his leash skills. He does get car sick at times so transport would not be an option. He also does not like being in a crate and will bark for quite a while if put in one. We have given him full run of our home with no problems. He is looking for a quiet home with a special person who will gain his trust. Once he is comfortable with his person and his home he will be the best boy ever!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. With his easy-going personality and laid-back attitude, he's the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal best friend. Doc gets along great with his foster brothers and enjoys spending time with his canine pals, whether they're playing together or just relaxing around the house. When playtime is over, Doc is happiest curled up on the couch next to his favorite person. He's a true couch potato who loves to cuddle and soak up all the attention he can get. Doc thrives on companionship and enjoys being close to his people, making him the perfect snuggle buddy for movie nights and lazy afternoons. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate dog with a goofy personality and a heart full of love, Doc may be the perfect addition to your family!    Happy Days Dog & Cat Rescue requires a Spay/Neuter Contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization at the time of adoption. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. HDDCR holds a deposit [$50 for dogs, $25 for cats] in addition to the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog or cat was spayed/neutered by the date stipulated on the Spay/Neuter Contract. The deposit will be refunded to the adopter if spay/neuter was done according to the Spay/Neuter Contract signed by the adopter. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee, paid at the time of adoption.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Murray is a Beagle mix estimated to be about 10 years old.  He is a very gentle, low-maintenance, easy dog and, despite his age, has a spring in his step and can run surprisingly fast.  He displays those lovable [but occasionally annoying] Beagle behaviors such as magically appearing when there is food to be had, letting his nose direct his steps...usually in haste to a tantalizing smell, lavishing his affection on humans and sleeping the night away with visions of squirrels dancing in his head!  Murray enjoys walks and does great on leash. After his walk, he patiently waits for you to wipe his feet off so he doesn’t track debris into the house.  He loves rolling in the grass and soaking up the sunshine.  Murray is house-trained and a gentleman in the home. He is very quiet.  He does exhibit some mild separation anxiety when left alone but is not destructive.  When you return, whether it’s been 2 minutes or 3 hours, Murray greets you like you are a rock star! He forms a strong bond with his family and is very loyal. Murray requires only gentle correction or redirection.  His whole life is focused on pleasing his humans!  He also loves other canine companions and would love to have a canine friend. Though 10-ish, Murray still has several good years ahead of him.  He is healthy, has no known medical issues, is UTD on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.  He came into care with rotted teeth and open nasal fistulas and had extensive dental surgery to remove all his remaining rotted teeth and suture the fistulas.  Murray has recovered well from his surgery. Because all his teeth were removed his tongue hangs out all the time. But that only makes him all the cuter!  He has a healthy appetite and eats soft food with dry kibble softened with warm water.   Murray just wants a family to love….could it be yours?     Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bette, our newest arrival at the Mikey & Me Kennels for Happy Days Rescue. Bette is a small Beagle, we are unsure of her age but hope to know more at her first Vet appt., she weighs about 25 pounds, and she is an absolute love bug. Bette loves engaging with people and will quickly gravitate to wherever you are. She walks nicely on leash and has been non-reactive to our other dogs.  Bette came to us after being picked up as a stray with no tags, no microchip, and no one that claimed her. She received her vaccinations and booster shots while at the Shelter and I’ve scheduled a Vet appt. for next week to have her tested for heart worm disease and for spay surgery. She will be microchipped and will have a physical exam at that time.  If you would like to meet Bette, please complete an adoption application under her name at  happydaysdogandcatrescue.org .     Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
