Forest is a 2 to 3yr old neutered male Beagle. He weighs 24 lbs. Forest and his friend Fig were found in a crate alongside the road. They are a bonded pair. They will only be adopted together. They were in pretty bad shape . They were thin and had severe hair loss. We took them in and have addressed all of their medical needs. Forest is now a happy, a little fat and healthy boy. He is loving life and can't wait to start his life as a cherished family member. He is a sweet and playful guy who has forgiven people for their wrongdoings to him. He deserves to be spoiled rotten. He will need help with house training. He has been fine with children and other dogs. We are unsure about cats . He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. DeeDee is a 6 year old Basset Hound/Beagle mix weighing 34 pounds. She came to the shelter as an owner surrender. DeeDee is a sweetheart! She is very affectionate,playful and smart. Favorite toys are tennis balls and stuffies. She knows commands sit, shake (both paws), dance, up and fetch. She loves to go on walks and follow her nose while doing great on a leash. When not playing or exploring she'll be by your side or in your lap, used to being on the furniture. Good with other dogs, previously lived with a larger dog. Great wtih bathtime but hates her nail trims. Does well on car rides. Crate trained. Is a chewer when stressed. Housebroken.Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! Maisey and Blue are great dogs. I have had them for several months but they are really seeking a home with a yard they can run in. They are fun loving and crate trained. Good on a leash. They love their crates and pillows to lay on. They enjoy their toys and playing with each other. They like your attention as well. Blue is a cuddle bug where Maizey likes just enough love and her curious self is off to other things and can entertain herself. I have come to adore them but they need a yard and I cant provide that. Would love to find them a home together if possible.
