Story
Snoopy is a wonderful 4 year old Beagle mix (likely with some Coonhound). He is about 55lbs and is a sweetheart. He loves to cuddle, play, and has a nose like none other. He is VERY energetic and would do well with someone that can give him a lot of time and energy. He loves long walks and also loves to just sniff around. He does have occasional accidents but recently completed a board and train which did help a lot. He sometimes barks at other dogs but is not aggressive. He is simply a very excited dog most of the time and wants to say hi to everyone and every dog. He is a wonderful dog however I simply don’t have the energy to give him as much attention as he deserves.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Daisy Duke! This little beagle girl wandered into the garage of a older couple's home.  We aren't sure of her age, but she appears to be a younger adult beagle.  As the pictures show, she was very thin.  Although the couple couldn't keep her, they took good care of her until she could be picked up by Animal Control.  The couple said she was quiet, content to snooze in her crate, kept her crate clean, and ate well for them.   Daisy Duke is now in a foster home with HDDCR.  We don't know much of her history, but it appears that she was on her own for a while.  She is adjusting nicely in her foster home.  She is reportedly good with both cats and dogs.  Daisy Duke will be visiting the vet for a health check-up, vaccines, microchip, and spay if needed.   If you are considering a new fur-baby, please take a look at Daisy Duke.       Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bagel, our newest resident at the Mikey & Me kennels for Happy Days Rescue.   Bagel is a cute little Beagle mix, he’s 1-2 years old, and he weighs just 30-35 pounds. He is a little timid at first but Bagel loves meeting new people and getting lots of attention. He was scared about going outside for the first few days but he’s now taking walks with quite a few of our volunteers. Bagel has had some vaccinations and his first Vet appt. with us is on Monday, June 9th. He will receive all necessary vaccinations and will be given a heart worm test at this visit. Bagel will be microchipped for his safety and we will schedule his neuter surgery for a week or two after this appt. If you would like to meet Bagel please submit an adoption (or Foster) application at  happydaysdogandcatrescue.org .   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tani!  She is thought to be a pointer mix or possibly a beagle.  She does great with other dogs and loves people. She is so well mannered (especially for a puppy) and has the sweetest personality, but will need additional puppy training. She is doing well with potty training and sleeps through the night in her crate.  A fenced yard is required for her.  She came to us missing her one eye so we believe she may have been born this way! Tani is UTD on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hello! I’m Tanbo (now named Snoop). I was adopted from Last Day Dog Rescue as a pup and now see myself back here due to family issues. I’m a very inquisitive pup and like to find my way into many things, but I’m learning that I’m not allowed to do so.  Anything to do with treats and I’ll be right there with you, but if you have your own food, I may sniff it. I really like to play with toys. As long as the toys are not stuffed, we won’t have a mess. I shred them within minutes, so harder chews would be best. I like to go for walks, I’m leash trained with slight pulling but I’m learning how not to do that. While we are out on our walks, I like to sniff everything I can because it’s all so interesting to me. After our long walks I like to curl up on the couch next to my humans and sleep. I enjoy being under the covers with them as well! When meeting new people, I do bark. Once I get to know them, I’m fine. I do get along with other dogs, I just bark a lot. However, I also resource guard my toys, so being an only dog may be best for me. I do chase cats, so I might not be the best with them. My current humans think I may have some separation anxiety, so for now I will have to be in a crate until I calm down and learn they will come back. I was just recently diagnosed with Cushing’s disease so I will be medicated for the rest of my life, but that doesn’t make me any different to love. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. November 15, 2024, 9:15 am

Story
He is 1yr 3mos old and a happy puppy, he does answer to his name quite well and follows some commands to sit, stay or come. We purchased him from a breeder in Michigan. Recently added Green to our family, he has been with us just over a month. He is a very sweet loving dog but does not get along with our other dog (Corgi) very much. They both seem to have a resource guarding issue and causes me worry to leave them alone together. (Fighting over toys is the issue) He is not neutered yet has an appt soon to get up to date on his shots. We promised him a home and would like to find him a new forever home to care and love for him. I believe a single pet family he would do the best in. We are not looking for an adoption fee, just want to find him a loving family and home to be at.
