Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rex is a lover and teddy bear. He finds his one human and follows that person around all day. He likes to run around the backyard, nap on the softest blankets, and get belly rubs. He is discovering his love for toys and will play by himself with them. Rex is still working on not marking in the house, begging, and jumping on the counter for food. Also, Rex will need a secure yard and be watched when he is outside as he is bit of a digger and a jumper. Rex is best suited for a home with other dogs as he has separation anxiety, and having other dogs helps he feel less anxious. A home that can give him the love and attention he deserves, and place to call his furever!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All animal breeds and ages are a best estimate June 14, 2024, 12:33 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Della is a tall and slim senior hound mix, she actually still feels and acts like a young dog. Della has a beautiful multicolored coat. She gets along very well with other dogs and enjoys playing in the yard in her foster home with a other dogs. She will do best in a home with a fenced yard and someone that enjoys long walks or other outdoors activities. Della is 25 lbs but her body build makes her look bigger than her weight. Della is comfortable in a crate (42in) where she sleeps through the night on her soft bed. The crate is her refuge during the day too, the door is always open for her to walk in for a nap. The foster home can be a noisy place at times since she shares with 6 other dogs of all ages and sizes. Della has a friendly, loving demeanor but to get attention she sometimes jumps up for hugs and may knock small children over. Della is very food motivated which makes training easier, old dogs can definitely learn new tricks! Della is looking for a forever home to spend the rest of her days in. (Della qualifies for our senior for a senior program.) Want a dog to keep you active Della is your girl! Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tori is new to the rescue.  She is a Beagle / Doxie / Bully mix and weighs about 18 pounds.  She is sweet and cuddly, and quite the wiggle-butt when she is comfortable in her environment, but very timid in unfamiliar surroundings.  Due to her skittish nature, a securely fenced yard is required for Tori. She will nudge you with her nose for attention.  It is obvious Tori has had many puppies as she has lost some of her 'girly' figure.   Tori is UTD on vaccines and spayed.  She will be microchipped before going to her adoptive home.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. June 14, 2024, 2:47 pm
