Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Jack, a year old male Beagle, who will win your heart over. Jack loves everyone, he will gently put his paws on you to get closer, will snuggle with you if you let him, and loves with his WHOLE heart. Jack was a surrendered hunting dog at 9 months old. He has spent the last 3 months in foster care being treated for heartworm. He is heartworm free and ready to get out and do things! Jack is definitely still a puppy, learning how to navigate living in a home. We found it beneficial to use his harness and leash along with positive praise and treats to curb unwanted behavior.   Jack is looking forward to having a job that will use his energy. Maybe a jogging companion, a walking companion, a gardening buddy, who knows. He loves the outdoors. He would love to have a home with a fence so he could run and be safe. He loved the neighbor boy, and all adults he’s interacted with.   Jack is brave. He isn’t worried about thunder, screams (yes, I screamed when there was a spider on me), or vacuums.   Jack doesn’t like to be left by those he loves, which is everybody. He will howl for a few seconds, and stop if you distract him - treat, toy, positive and excited voice. When left alone, he is currently being medicated, crated, and has a foster dog who is nearby. This helps with his feelings of abandonment.  So we do recommend another dog in the home with him. We all are hopeful that now that he is allowed to exercise that he will expend his energy and that he can find a home that has a lot of activity and a dog pal. Jack likes cats, but will chase cats that run. So introductions will need to be thought out and monitored.    We think Jack is super smart, willing to please, and absolutely adorable. We hope you do too! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All animal breeds and ages are a best estimate July 18, 2024, 2:12 pm

He loves to cuddle, get belly rubs and sit in your lap. He is good on leash, crate trained, house trained, fixed and up to date on shots.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. She is looking for someone that is active and will work on basic training. She enjoys other dogs after proper introductions. No young children as she is quite rambunctious and can be overwhelming to them.  She is doing well on house training, but regression is common. She would do best with somebody who doesn’t have to leave her home alone all day. Not sure how she is with cats.    Click here to watch a video of Mocha - Ou Litter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hello! I’m Tanbo (now named Snoop). I was adopted from Last Day Dog Rescue as a pup and now see myself back here due to family issues. I’m a very inquisitive pup and like to find my way into many things, but I’m learning that I’m not allowed to do so.  Anything to do with treats and I’ll be right there with you, but if you have your own food, I may sniff it. I really like to play with toys. As long as the toys are not stuffed, we won’t have a mess. I shred them within minutes, so harder chews would be best. I like to go for walks, I’m leash trained with slight pulling but I’m learning how not to do that. While we are out on our walks, I like to sniff everything I can because it’s all so interesting to me. After our long walks I like to curl up on the couch next to my humans and sleep. I enjoy being under the covers with them as well! When meeting new people, I do bark. Once I get to know them, I’m fine. I do get along with other dogs, I just bark a lot. However, I also resource guard my toys, so being an only dog may be best for me. I do chase cats, so I might not be the best with them. My current humans think I may have some separation anxiety, so for now I will have to be in a crate until I calm down and learn they will come back. I was just recently diagnosed with Cushing’s disease so I will be medicated for the rest of my life, but that doesn’t make me any different to love. Story
Tony is a 1yr old neutered male Beagle/ Hound mix. He weighs 44 lbs. Tony is a sweet boy who craves attention. I think he spent a lot of time alone. He came from our local shelter when his owners failed to reclaim him. He is sweet as can be but does have a Beagle nose which he likes to follow. He would do best with a fenced yard. He would love a home where someone will spend lots of time with him. He loves belly rubs. He has moderate energy. He is a bit submissive. He has been great with children, other dogs and cats. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $150. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419- 591-6621 . When emailing please include information about you and your family including other pets.
