Meet Bongo! Bongo was surrendered to us because his family was moving and could not take Bongo with them. Bongo is a perfect gentleman, ready to find his furever home. He is a sweet, playful guy and made fast friends with staff. Bongo's previous owner said he is a well mannered boy and is potty trained and crate trained but can be trusted out of the crate when alone. Bongo previously lived with other dogs, though he prefers a more relaxed companion rather than a playful puppy. Bongo's previous owner said he does well with older children, but may knock younger children over as he is excitable with people. Bongo is just an all around good boy! He is affectionate, playful, and is happy to go anywhere and everywhere with his person. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Bongo home. This fun loving, affectionate guy is back in action after he came to DASH with some skin issues that have now been treated and his hair is growing back nicely and his true personality is shining through. He is currently in our DASH Prison Program where he is mastering his basic commands, and where he loves to play fetch with his favorite things and is very energetic when he's playing, but then is ready to chill and just watch the world go by hanging out in his favorite spot on the couch. He loves giving kisses as well. He is crate trained, potty trained and walks well on a leash. He enjoys meeting new people and dogs, but has not been kid or cat tested. Due to the skin issues he is still a little touch sensitive on his back half, but we feel that will resolve itself over time. He also is not a big fan of crowds and is a little skittish, but his handler is working with him to overcome that. He's also fairly quiet and not a big barker in or out of his crate. This girl loves everyone, people, kids, cats. She is a typical puppy and is currently in our DASH Prison Program where she is working on all of her puppy manners, including crate training, potty training, and walking on a leash. She loves playing both inside and outside and getting all of her puppy energy out and then chilling with a good nap. Her new family will need to be ready and willing to continue helping her master her puppy manners so that she can be the best addition to her forever home. He is currently in our DASH Prison Program where his handler says he is a great dog, who loves being outside, is great on a leash and very manageable. He also loves relaxing inside after a nice walk or play session. He is crate trained, potty trained in the prison setting and is very sociable. He love female dogs, but would do best with a proper introduction to male dogs, as he can be a little picky in his male friends. He is currently learning all of his basic commands and doing really well with all of them. Due to his current foster placement he has not been introduced to children of any age or to cats so both would require proper introductions. Chomper is ready to find his forever home!
