Meet Magpie! Magpie recently came to us with her sister as strays. When Magpie arrived at FCDACS she was underweight, dirty, and terrified. Thankfully she has made a complete turnaround rather quickly! She has really come out of her shell and it turns out she is a pretty typical Beagle puppy; she is happy, wiggly, and talkative! Magpie is still young and energetic, so a family prepared to give her structure and keep her active is ideal. She has done okay with other dogs. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Magpie home. This fun loving, affectionate guy is back in action after he came to DASH with some skin issues that have now been treated and his hair is growing back nicely and his true personality is shining through. He is currently in our DASH Prison Program where he is mastering his basic commands, and where he loves to play fetch with his favorite things and is very energetic when he's playing, but then is ready to chill and just watch the world go by hanging out in his favorite spot on the couch. He loves giving kisses as well. He is crate trained, potty trained and walks well on a leash. He enjoys meeting new people and dogs, but has not been kid or cat tested. Due to the skin issues he is still a little touch sensitive on his back half, but we feel that will resolve itself over time. He also is not a big fan of crowds and is a little skittish, but his handler is working with him to overcome that. He's also fairly quiet and not a big barker in or out of his crate.
