Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Forest Age: 1 year old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Beagle Jindo mix Color: Brown (with some white spots on my chest, paws,& tip of my tail) Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a crowded city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list due to a lack of space. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me a second chance at life. Now, I'm safe, loved, and ready to find a forever family of my own. I can't wait to start the next chapter of my journey with people who will cherish me and love me forever.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY While I can be a little shy at first, I warm up quickly and am a very resilient boy. The love and care I've received at the care facility have helped me come out of my shell, and these days I often approach new people with curiosity and affection. I have a big appetite and love my meals, but I also have a fast metabolism and don't gain weight easily, which is why I maintain my slim, athletic figure. I'm a popular guy among my dog friends and, being a young dog, I enjoy fooling around, playing, and having fun with my buddies. I'm also a very affectionate boy who enjoys building relationships with the people I trust. I love giving kisses and look forward to spending time with the staff and volunteers who care for me. Although I'm healthy, I do have a slightly sensitive tummy, so I do best when new foods and treats are introduced gradually. One of my most charming features is my unique look. I have long, slender legs, a classic Jindo body, and an adorable Beagle-like face and ears. People often say I look a little sad all the time, but that's actually part of my charm and what makes me so irresistibly cute! With my sweet personality, playful spirit, and loving heart, I'm ready to find a forever family who will appreciate just how special I am.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm a little shy when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly with patience, kindness, and a few tasty treats. I'll happily take treats from your hand and allow gentle pets while I get to know you. As I become more comfortable, my affectionate side starts to shine. I allow myself to be picked up and, once I feel safe and relaxed, I love showing my belly for extra attention and rubs. With a little time, you'll discover that I'm a sweet and loving boy who enjoys building close bonds with my people. · With Dogs: I'm super friendly with my dog friends and love socializing with them. In fact, I'm quite popular among my canine buddies and enjoy spending time playing, exploring, and hanging out with the other dogs at the care facility. I generally get along best with dogs who have a similar size and energy level to mine, as we tend to enjoy the same style of play and interaction. My friendly and easygoing nature helps me make friends easily, and I genuinely enjoy having canine companions around. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull on leash at times when I'm excited or curious, but overall I follow my handler's lead nicely and am a pleasant walking companion. I have excellent manners around food and do not guard my meals from people or other dogs. While I may bark occasionally to express myself, I'm generally a quiet and well-mannered boy. I know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel when it's time to relax. For potty habits, I can use both pee pads indoors and go potty outdoors, giving my future family a great foundation to build on. Most importantly, my confidence continues to grow day by day. As I gain more positive experiences and build trust with the people around me, I'm becoming a happier, more confident version of myself every day.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I'm an overall chill, easygoing boy who doesn't ask for much. While I may need a little time to settle in and fully open up, I promise I'm worth the wait. Once I trust you, I'll happily shower you with kisses, affection, and plenty of requests for pets and attention. I have a well-balanced energy level and enjoy both outdoor adventures and relaxing at home. My gentle nature and sweet personality make me an easy companion to live with, and I'm happiest when I can simply spend time with my people. If you're looking for a mellow, loving dog who will become your loyal companion and best friend, I may be exactly who you've been searching for.   FOREST'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2763203##

Story
💛 Meet Beckham — the three-legged Beagle mix with four times the charm, ten times the heart, and absolutely no idea that he is supposed to be anything other than fabulous. Beckham is three years old, about 15 kg, and built like a professional happiness distributor. He wakes up ready to make friends, collect compliments, enjoy snacks, join the fun, and remind everyone that life is better when there is a happy dog in the room. He may only have three legs, but he has mastered the art of keeping up, showing up, and making people fall completely in love with him. This sweet boy is calm, affectionate, social, and wonderfully happy natured. He loves people, enjoys attention, and has the kind of personality that makes you want to cancel your plans just so you can hang out with him. Beckham gets along well with other dogs and is great with children, making him a fantastic family dog for kids aged eight and up. He is neutered, healthy, and up to date on his vaccines, which means he is fully prepared for his next important job: becoming someone’s beloved sidekick, couch companion, walking buddy, snack supervisor, and official greeter of guests. Despite having three legs, Beckham does not need special treatment. He needs love, inclusion, and a family who understands that perfect dogs sometimes come with a little extra character and a very excellent hop. He is ready for walks, playtime, cozy evenings, family adventures, and all the little moments that make a dog feel like he truly belongs. Picture Beckham trotting happily beside you, greeting your kids with a wagging tail, curling up nearby after a busy day, and looking at you like you are the best thing that ever happened to him. That is the magic of Beckham: he makes people feel chosen. He is funny, loving, resilient, and so easy to adore. If your family is looking for a dog who will bring laughter, loyalty, sweetness, and a whole lot of heart, Beckham is ready to apply for the position. Born into an overcrowded shelter housing more than 1,600 dogs, he spent the first four years of his life waiting for a chance at something better. With so many dogs needing care, he was sadly overlooked—not because of who he was, but because there simply weren't enough resources or attention for every dog. Everything changed in early 2024 when one of our directors met Youngsil during a visit to the shelter. Knowing he deserved a brighter future, she brought him to Canada, where he has been thriving with a loving foster family ever since. Meet Youngsil – Our Brave Boy 💛 Youngsil is smart, brave, loyal, affectionate, and incredibly intelligent. He's one of the brightest dogs Eight Paws has ever rescued—which makes it all the more surprising that he is still waiting for his forever home. Over the past two years, Youngsil has made remarkable progress. He has learned to trust, enjoys life with his foster family, and has shown just how loving and devoted he can be once he feels safe. Why is Youngsil still waiting? The truth is, Youngsil has received very few adoption applications. We're not entirely sure why. Everyone who meets him in person comments on how much more handsome and charming he is than his photos suggest. We also believe in being completely honest about the challenges that come with adopting a rescue dog. Youngsil can become extremely anxious during major life changes or unfamiliar situations. In those moments, he may have an anxiety-related poop accident. Once he settles into a consistent routine and builds trust with his family, this has not been an ongoing issue in his foster home. Youngsil also has a bite history. The incident (only once) occurred when he was feeling very scared and overwhelmed before trust had been established. You have to give him space when he doesn’t feel safe. All dogs bite when they’re cornered and fearful. Because of his intelligence and sensitivity, Youngsil needs an experienced adopter—ideally someone who has worked with rescue dogs or anxious dogs before. He isn't the type of dog who will trust a stranger overnight. But once you earn his trust, he forms an incredibly deep bond and is affectionate, loyal, and eager to be by your side. To help make his transition into a new home as smooth as possible, Youngsil will go home with a six-month supply of anti-anxiety medication. He is not currently taking anxiety medication in his foster home, but we want his adopter to have this support available during the adjustment period to help reduce stress and set him up for success. Youngsil has already overcome so much in his life. Now he's simply looking for someone who will give him the time and patience to feel safe. In return, you'll gain a devoted companion whose love and loyalty are truly unforgettable. We know the right person is out there. We hope they'll see beyond his past and recognize the incredible dog waiting for his forever home.
