Story
Tilly | 8 years old | 25 lb | Healthy & Smart! | Condo/Apartment Friendly| Toronto Hi, I'm Tilly, and I'm a spicy senior who will have you laughing all the time. I'm a golden girl who wants to live out my golden years with you! One of my fosters once described me as "the happiest dog she's ever met." She knows a lot of dogs, so that tells you something about my infectious and delightful personality. I came from a hoarding situation where I never got very consistent attention or care. Since my rescue, I have been learning SO MUCH to help me build my confidence and feel comfortable in new situations. I've even worked with a professional trainer. who was impressed with how quickly I learned. I don't know why they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks! There is a training session included with my adoption, so you and I can be set up for success. What I need from you: Consistency, structure, and leadership A quiet household No cats (I'll chase!) ENDLESS belly rubs What you'll get from me: Great leash walks Zoomies A ton of love and cuddles The happiest companion So much personality in an adorable small package So much fun I love people, and not to brag, but people love me! I've been waiting a very long time for someone to give me a home of my own. If you think I could be your golden girl, please fill out an application: https://form.jotform.com/pawsacrossthewater/adoption-application

Story
One of the first things most people ask about a dog is, 'what kind is she?' Much of the time we're just guessing, like with Karli here. To us her face looks like a beagle. Her ears are like a lab. Her body is kind of bully-ish...basically we have no idea what breeds she is! What we do know is that she is 100% Velcro. It's been challenging for her foster to get good photos of her, because she wants to be so close all the time. She's been a gem of a houseguest so far...quiet, well-mannered and endlessly affectionate. She's thought to be about 4 years old.Karli gets along beautifully with other dogs. Hasn't been cat-tested and probably won't get a chance to be while she's in her foster home in Houston. She needs somewhere to land in Ontario, so if you want more unconditional devotion in your life, please fill out a foster or adoption application, found on our Facebooknpage.Name: KarliWeight: ~40 PoundsGender: FemaleBreed: Beagle mixColour: Fawn w WhiteMedical (past and present) & HW Status: Healthy, HW negativeFixed: Almost!Good with adults: YesGood with kids: YesGood with dogs: YesGood with cats:UnknownHouse trained: YesCrate trained: YesCrate aggressive: NoFood aggressive: A little, with other dogsLeash trained: YesEnergy level: MediumSuitable for an apartment: Maybe! Can be handled: Yes please!Barker: Not so far!
