Story
Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. I can't wait to meet you and start this exciting new chapter together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Blue Goose is an adorable 4 yr old male beagle with unique coloration. He is considered a 'blue tick' beagle due to the spotting in his coloration. He came to us from a shelter where he was surrendered with his brother "Thunder" because their owner passed away, sadly. They do not need to be adopted together. The volunteers at the shelter enjoyed taking him on walks where he would do lots of sniffing in typical beagle style. He is a playful boy who enjoys every dog he meets. Not only any DOG he meets but people too! He is very affectionate and will make his desire to be loved by you known right away! He is a trim 26 lbs and enjoys walking and sniffing, as well as romps in the yard with a friendly dog or two. Blue Goose has the typical beagle “happy-go-lucky” attitude and would be great in a new home with a fenced yard and a comfy dog bed or couch to relax on with his family. He very much enjoys running and playing with other dogs, so if you have another dog at home who you would like to burn off some energy with a pal, Blue Goose will fit right in. He is a natural in the house with calm demeanor, but needs a refresher course on housebreaking. As with every dog, a change in venue means they don't know the rules of the new home. Lots of patience is needed to help him adjust. Blue Goose is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He is ready to fill your home with laughter, playfulness and love. Story
Hi! I’m Eleanor Roosevelt, but everyone calls me Ellie! I’m looking for my someone special to help me make a new family. I really love having a home with a brother or sister dog and a person (or a few people) to love me and help me feel safe and loved. I used to have that, but something went wrong between my people (divorce) and I’ve had to move around quite a bit lately… I’m not sure what my place is. I have love in my heart and no one to give it to. It makes me anxious. When I’m anxious I bark more than usual. Sometimes that upsets the people. I like playing with toys, sleeping on beds with my people, zooming around a fenced yard with a friendly dog or two, and never being in a crate. Those crates are not for me! Going for rides in the car is fun, and I’m a good girl on the leash. In fact, I really love going on walks! I’m a healthy girl, 6yrs old around 29lbs. My only issue has been an occasional ear that acts up and needs stuff squirted in. I worry when I go to the vet; whine and feel scared, so I usually have medicine to relax a little. I can’t wait to be home with my new family. ** Ellie is a sweet, clever girl who needs a loving, patient home to settle in to and feel secure again. Her world has been unsettled for a while now and when she finds that forever home waiting for her, those people will feel like the lucky ones. Adoption application can be found here: https://www.cascaderescue.org/adoption-application/ For additional information on Ellie, contact Kappy Hodges at kapppy@cascaderescue.org.

Story
Meet Princess Tiana: A Gentle Soul Looking for a Peaceful Home Princess Tiana is a delightful companion seeking a peaceful environment to call her own. This sweet girl thrives in a calm setting and would be most comfortable in a peaceful household away from city life. An apartment may not be the ideal fit for her due to some separation anxiety and a tendency to vocalize when crated. Tiana could flourish in a home with another small to medium-sized dog that has a gentle play style. During her assessment, she showed some initial insecurity around larger dogs but may open up and enjoy playful interactions in the right environment. She is tolerant of cats and has experience living with them. On leash, Tiana walks gracefully with her nose to the ground, enjoying the scents of her surroundings. She maintains a steady pace by your side or slightly behind, making her an excellent companion for leisurely evening strolls. A home with a small yard would be great so she can venture around and get her sniffs in. During her touch test, Tiana displayed a calm and unbothered demeanor. She didn’t mind being touched and even allowed being held like a baby for a photo without hesitation. This sweet temperament extends to her interactions with people, where she maintains a gentle and independent demeanor. She would do well in a home with adults or older kids that would respect her space when she needs it. With time she will sit and cuddle with you on the couch and enjoy some relaxing time at home. Princess Tiana is a loving dog who would thrive in a home with understanding adults or older children who respect her boundaries and appreciate her affectionate yet independent nature. With the right companionship and environment, Tiana promises to be a loyal and cherished member of her forever home. Email: kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport.
