Story
Meet Princess Tiana: A Gentle Soul Looking for a Peaceful Home Princess Tiana is a delightful companion seeking a peaceful environment to call her own. This sweet girl thrives in a calm setting and would be most comfortable in a peaceful household away from city life. An apartment may not be the ideal fit for her due to some separation anxiety and a tendency to vocalize when crated. Tiana could flourish in a home with another small to medium-sized dog that has a gentle play style. During her assessment, she showed some initial insecurity around larger dogs but may open up and enjoy playful interactions in the right environment. She is tolerant of cats and has experience living with them. On leash, Tiana walks gracefully with her nose to the ground, enjoying the scents of her surroundings. She maintains a steady pace by your side or slightly behind, making her an excellent companion for leisurely evening strolls. A home with a small yard would be great so she can venture around and get her sniffs in. During her touch test, Tiana displayed a calm and unbothered demeanor. She didn’t mind being touched and even allowed being held like a baby for a photo without hesitation. This sweet temperament extends to her interactions with people, where she maintains a gentle and independent demeanor. She would do well in a home with adults or older kids that would respect her space when she needs it. With time she will sit and cuddle with you on the couch and enjoy some relaxing time at home. Princess Tiana is a loving dog who would thrive in a home with understanding adults or older children who respect her boundaries and appreciate her affectionate yet independent nature. With the right companionship and environment, Tiana promises to be a loyal and cherished member of her forever home. Email: kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions! Story
Meet Taffy! We call her our giant Beagle that is loving and confidant. Taffy was found roaming the street with another dog named Flinn. When she was found it appeared she had puppies, although none were found with her. She suspected to be a Beagle mix and about two years old! Taffy is adjusting to life again since being rescued and is eager to find a forever home. Initially quiet and reserved, Taffy quickly warms up to humans and seeks affection from them. She’s great at listening and being corrected when she gets excited for your attention. When we brought in other dogs to introduce to her she was reserved and preferred to watch over them. Taffy would be great in a home with a male dog, as she was found with a male dog and seems more comfortable and relaxed with them. Since adjusting to life again she has also been learning leash manners. Since she’s a treat motivated girl, she has made great progress and will continue to. Taffy also got the chance to meet the house cat, Tom. She remained calm and respectful to Tom and it told us that she could live in a home with a dog savvy cat. Our favourite thing about Taffy is her little piglet tail she has. She’ll make it move for you when you give her treats and get on the floor with her for hugs. Her specialty is being a calm dog that is there for you when you need a companion to lean on. Taffy would thrive in a quieter residential home or apartment and benefit from continued leash training and walks. She is incredibly loving and will blossom with patience and love from her new family. https://youtu.be/osFdQjd2vW4 Come meet her and see if you can give her the love she deserves! Story
Rosa is a playful and energetic girl who loves a good game of chase and is always up for some fun. She loves splashing around in the water and is a playgroup goofball which makes her an absolute delight to watch and interact with. When we introduced Rosa to a bunch of new dogs, she greeted them calmly on leash and was wonderfully playful once they were all in the yard together. She loves being outside and is a fantastic playmate. She had the cutest love connection with another silly and playful female- they looked like they had always known each other. Rosa enjoys the water and within a few minutes of seeing it, she was splashing around and attempting to snorkel, or at least blow bubbles with her nose. It was a hilarious, self-entertaining moment of cuteness! She’s not just about playing with other dogs; she knows how to have fun on her own too. This girl has hiking partner written all over her! Picture her carrying her own pack on a hike to the lake, where she’ll cool off in the water and enjoy a few belly rubs before hitting the trail again. Once you’re home, you’ll find her rolling around, making a nest, and likely sleeping with her belly up to the sky. When she’s not sleeping, she’ll show you that same belly-up position, now ready for her favorite form of affection – belly rubs. Rosa’s easy-going and playful approach with other dogs makes her a great candidate for doggy daycare, where she can enjoy a fun day out and then come home for a big nap. However, she doesn’t need that level of play every day. She’s mellow inside, happy to hang out, snuggle up or play with a toy on her own. If you’re looking for an entertaining, well-rounded, and playful companion, Rosa is ready and available for adoption. She’s going to make a wonderful addition to your home and will encourage you to get out and enjoy the outdoors as much as she does. Whether it’s a hike, a trip to the lake, or just a walk around the neighborhood, Rosa is up for it all. And with her size, a perfect 49 lbs, she’s a great fit for apartment or condo living too. A playful dog friend would be awesome, and a pool of any size, even a kiddie pool, would be a bonus! Interested in Rosa? Have questions about her or the adoption process? Please email michelle@threelittlepittiesrescue.org. We’re here to help ensure Rosa is the perfect fit for you and your life! Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/JHsoHVe3fEY Meet Colt, an adorable puppy who is in need of a loving home. This sweet baby is always ready for an adventure and absolutely loves water. He loves to play with his many doggie friends and explore and meet new people. He is also great with kitties and doesn't bother them at all. Based on his looks, we believe he is a beagle mix. He found himself on the kill list at a rural, small shelter with no foot traffic through no fault of his own. He is about 5 months old and currently weighs around 20 lbs. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm prevention. Too young for a heartworm test. Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Blue Goose is an adorable 4 yr old male beagle with unique coloration. He is considered a 'blue tick' beagle due to the spotting in his coloration. He came to us from a shelter where he was surrendered with his brother "Thunder" because their owner passed away, sadly. They do not need to be adopted together. The volunteers at the shelter enjoyed taking him on walks where he would do lots of sniffing in typical beagle style. He is a playful boy who enjoys every dog he meets. Not only any DOG he meets but people too! He is very affectionate and will make his desire to be loved by you known right away! He is a trim 26 lbs and enjoys walking and sniffing, as well as romps in the yard with a friendly dog or two. Blue Goose has the typical beagle “happy-go-lucky” attitude and would be great in a new home with a fenced yard and a comfy dog bed or couch to relax on with his family. He very much enjoys running and playing with other dogs, so if you have another dog at home who you would like to burn off some energy with a pal, Blue Goose will fit right in. He is a natural in the house with calm demeanor, but needs a refresher course on housebreaking. As with every dog, a change in venue means they don't know the rules of the new home. Lots of patience is needed to help him adjust. Blue Goose is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He is ready to fill your home with laughter, playfulness and love. If you're interested in adopting Blue, please complete our adoption application. For additional questions, contact Kappy Hodges by email at kappy@cascaderescue.org

Story
Hi! I’m Eleanor Roosevelt, but everyone calls me Ellie! I’m looking for my someone special to help me make a new family. I really love having a home with a brother or sister dog and a person (or a few people) to love me and help me feel safe and loved. I used to have that, but something went wrong between my people (divorce) and I’ve had to move around quite a bit lately… I’m not sure what my place is. I have love in my heart and no one to give it to. It makes me anxious. When I’m anxious I bark more than usual. Sometimes that upsets the people. I like playing with toys, sleeping on beds with my people, zooming around a fenced yard with a friendly dog or two, and never being in a crate. Those crates are not for me! Going for rides in the car is fun, and I’m a good girl on the leash. In fact, I really love going on walks! I’m a healthy girl, 6yrs old around 29lbs. My only issue has been an occasional ear that acts up and needs stuff squirted in. I worry when I go to the vet; whine and feel scared, so I usually have medicine to relax a little. I can’t wait to be home with my new family. ** Ellie is a sweet, clever girl who needs a loving, patient home to settle in to and feel secure again. Her world has been unsettled for a while now and when she finds that forever home waiting for her, those people will feel like the lucky ones. Adoption application can be found here: https://www.cascaderescue.org/adoption-application/ For additional information on Ellie, contact Kappy Hodges at kapppy@cascaderescue.org.
