Story
!!!!!!Cutie alert!!!!! All size dog, cat, and all age people friendly is Pugsley! This distinguished young gentleman is affectionate and low key. Pugsley is a 1 year old beagle mix and weighs just 29 pounds! Perfect portable size. He has some pretty impressive leash skills so either he's had practice at some point or he's just a natural! Either way, he will make an excellent walking buddy! Pugsley is dog friendly and confident with all size dogs. Not one to waste energy , he would love another mellow, easy going doggy companion. That being said, he will be just fine as the only dog in the home too! Cats don't seem to bug him one bit. This could certainly change in a home, but the cats he's met so far he was completely uninterested in, so it's likely Pugsley could cohabitate with a feline sibling. Pugsley would do well with respectful children who are old enough to understand boundaries, or who are already dog savvy. Don't have a yard? That's ok! Pugsley doesn't need one. He'll be content to stroll around the neighborhood and then come back to the house for treats and a snuggle. Something else that makes him very apartment/condo/townhome friendly is he's not much of a barker! So nice! They don't really get much better than this! Add his debonnaire personality, good looks, and easy going nature and you've got a pup that won't last long! Check out a video of your potential cutie here! https://youtu.be/JYsEGFl8hPo?si=3mSbsetwKWaLM-89 Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
This adorable girl is Jane Waller! She is currently 9ish months old, and we think she may be a terrier mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves her life as well as the life of another in its place. Jane is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play with her siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! Jane is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Story
Beagle + Pug mix 6 years old Male 30 pounds Kids · 10+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No Gosh, I’m Tuckered out. Looking for a new home is hard work! Especially when you’re a fella who is a bit shy and a bit protective. I’m just longing for someone who is patient and understanding. Pretty much what we all want, right? You got to know when to hold ’em and know when to fold ’em. I hope you feel like holding me for the foreseeable future. Tuck me right up your sleeve because I am like a wild card of canine love. Now, I don’t want my family to fold on me, so you best be prepared to give me all of the love, guidance, and training I need. An environment where I will get slow introductions to new people, a little time to trust ‘em, you know? I get along great with other dogs, and really like to play, but cats are no go. I’m also looking for a family without young kids, so tykes 10+ will suit me best. I am pretty well mannered, housebroken, and crate trained too, so you can trust that I’m a mature fella past all that puppy nonsense. How about you tuck me in close and keep me there forevermore? My adoption fee is $200 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. I can't wait to meet you and start this exciting new chapter together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
