Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Genevieve!   Sweet, social, and oh-so-snuggly — that’s Genevieve! This precious girl is currently being fostered by our wonderful friends at a local doggy daycare, which means she spends her days socializing with all kinds of people and dogs. She absolutely loves it and is thriving in that environment! Genevieve is the perfect mix of gentle and playful. She’s a total cuddlebug who adores being close to her people, and she gets along beautifully with other dogs. She’s also on the smaller side for a Lab mix — she appears to be medium-sized or the smaller end of a large adult, making her a great fit for many types of homes. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a sweet spirit and wonderful manners, Genevieve might be your girl. Whoever adopts her is going to be incredibly lucky! Let me know if you want it shorter, longer, or more playful!     Medical Notes:  Spayed Vaccinated Dewormed Microchipped Maintained on monthly preventatives Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 26, 2025, 1:40 pm

Story
Viola is a beautiful soul that we think is about 3 year old  and a Beagle mix girl. This black and white beauty with adorable speckled legs and a sweet She only weighs 20 lbs and has the sweetest smile and absolutely loves people. She was found as a stray that was taken to the shelter very scared and almost shutdown while there. Her human mother died and Viola is now 5 years old. Unfortunately we don’t really know her story, but we feel there is some trauma there in her past. It takes her a little bit to get used to people and even longer for dogs. She wants a safe place to observe (wire crate suggested)  till she figures it out. Her foster kept her behind a gate and her bed was her safe place. For a few days she would growl through the gate at the other dogs but after that it was over. We would leave the gate open and she would venture out and if she got nervous she would go back to her safe place. She is never ugly to the other dogs at her foster and  if one of the Chihuahuas was mean to her,  she just ignored her. We have her using puppy pads because there is  no fenced yard. Viola would definetly need a fenced yard so she can safely explore and have potty breaks. The outdoors makes her nervous still. She loves her people immensely and adores  kids but older ones are best.  If you want to help and REALLY rescue a dog them Viola would be forever indebted to you.   If you are interested please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Raymond, a remarkably handsome 3-year-old Beagle mix with a gentle heart and an old soul. At 44 pounds, he’s the perfect medium-sized companion—big enough for warm hugs, small enough for couch cuddles. Raymond’s world has recently been turned upside down. His loving family—mom, dad, and a busy, affectionate two-year-old toddler—lost their home due to financial hardship. As they move in with relatives, Raymond isn’t allowed to go. Through no fault of his own, this sweet boy will be homeless starting Thanksgiving. Critter Cavalry stepped in to give him safety and a promise: we will find this special dog the family he deserves. And make no mistake—Raymond is pure family dog magic. He adored his toddler, patiently soaking up loud giggles, sticky hands, surprise hugs, and busy playtime. His gentle nature and steady temperament make him a uniquely trustworthy companion for children and adults alike. Raymond is also wonderfully trained. He knows how to sit, shake, come when called, and crate up when asked. He loves playing fetch—bringing the ball back every time with a proud little smile—as if his greatest joy is simply making his people happy. He walks beautifully on leash, is fully housebroken, and has the most polite manners. If Raymond were human, he’d be the dad grilling in the backyard, cheering at kids’ soccer games, fixing squeaky doors, and making sure everyone in the house feels loved and safe. That’s just who he is. He doesn’t understand why he lost the only family he’s ever known—especially right as the holidays approach—but he’s handling it with grace, sweetness, and so much hope. Everyone who meets him says the same thing:   Everyone loves Raymond. He will give his whole heart to the family willing to give him a fresh start. If you’d like to welcome this incredible boy into your home, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Maybelle is a teeny 17lb Beagle who is extremely anxious and fearful of humans but with a couple of meet & greets or so she can warm but. The family that moved forward with Maybelle will need to know that she is extremely shy but we have a fairly failsafe plan to help her integrate in to a household as we did it very successfully with her fosters and she is very settled in there now.  Maybelle is exit seeking and just take a look back on our socials towards February/March and you will see that she was one that was on the run all over Nashville for about 2 1/2 weeks. So she is a very sweet but timid girl that will just need lots of patience, time, and routine, to settle in to her new home. And an AirTag lol. Maybelle is not a dog that we would trust to be running around off leash, and keeping her leashed will be a very important part of this process and cannot be strayed from. She is VERY snuggly and once she gets to know you she will cuddle and snuggle you and love on you and is such a sweet girl. She has just obviously been through a lot poor girl and just needs regular love and routine to settle in. We also think she would do great with another dog in the household.September 23, 2025, 2:42 pm
