Story
Ladies and gentlemen, presenting: Duffy, a 123-lb shep mix serving maximum “certified classic good boy” energy. At just 3 years old, this absolute unit has the soul of a gentle best friend and the physical presence of a decorative throw pillow stuffed entirely with love and mashed potatoes. Truly, this man is giving full russet potato vibes right now — warm, comforting, slightly oversized, and impossible not to adore. He’s fluffy, handsome, rocking an impressive tail game, and powered almost entirely by toys, treats, and the hope that someone might throw a ball for him immediately. Duffy was actually adopted from us a couple years ago, but due to no fault of his own, he recently found himself back at the shelter. It’s been a huge life change, and honestly, the guy did not have “return to shelter” on his 2026 bingo card. He may need a little time to settle back in and catch his emotional footing, but he’s trying so hard and continues to be such a sweetheart through it all. He knows commands like sit and shake, loves chasing balls, and still lights up over a good toy like it’s the greatest thing he’s ever seen. Since his last stay with us, Duffy’s gotten a little extra deluxe around the middle, so he’d love an exercise buddy committed to helping him swap “couch potato” for “slightly more aerodynamic potato.” At the end of the day, Duffy is the kind of dog people mean when they say “good boy.” Big-hearted, goofy, loyal, loving, and just happy to be included. Whoever swoops this guy up is getting an all-timer of a dog, and frankly? Preemptive congratulations are absolutely in order. The dog adoption fee is $110. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than Animal Services` website.
