HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome, healthy and rugged 9-1/2-year-old Rottie-Dobie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle in the evenings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a couple years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have many positive traits - I am affectionate, I walk well on a leash, and I am a loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. While I get along with dogs I know (especially female dogs around my size), I can be reactive on a leash toward dogs I don't know. However, I really do like female dogs - I currently love to hang out and go on walks with my girlfriend Darla, a Doberman. And I love human attention and affection - I love to hug and be hugged! I'd do well with a strong owner, too. I weigh about 80 lbs. Please email for an application.

HI - I'M GEORGE. Why doesn't anyone want me? I'm a sweet 9-year-old Rottweiler-Shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from a California shelter a couple of years ago, where I shared a kennel with another dog. I am a mellow, older boy who needs a soft bed and a loving owner. I was abandoned by my previous owners and have done nothing to deserve that, but am ready for a new start in life. I will make a wonderful companion for someone who can be my companion. I have some arthritis but I am on glucosamine treats and they work wonders! I weigh about 74 pounds. If you can foster or adopt me, please email for an application.

TYSON is an 8 month old, 58 pound pure breed Rottweiler. He was owner surrendered along with his father MAX II who is also available for adoption. TYSON comes with a clean slate and he is eager to learn new commands as he knows none right now but he does follow directions and is very well-mannered. He is treat motivated and very easy to train. TYSON has been in a home with both males and females and kids. He has a healthy appetite and quickly gaining the weight that he needs. He does do well on the leash without pulling and would enjoy walks. He rides in the car well without getting sick. He would be a loyal and loving companion and a great playmate to another dog. CONNIE is a 4 year old, 70 pound female pure breed Rottweiler who would love a home where she can blossom into the loving lady that she is. She could stand to gain a few pounds. CONNIE loves everyone and is not reactive to dogs, she simply ignores them if they do not play with her. Her main focus is to hang around her humans and receive love and head scratches. Hello! My name is Wednesday. I am available to adopt or foster. Wednesday came to the shelter as a stray, and our staff and volunteers are still getting to know her. She’s a young, high-energy girl with an active spirit who’s searching for a dog-savvy family ready for a true hiking and adventure buddy.Wednesday can be strong on leash, but with a family committed to daily exercise and enrichment, we think she could do well in either a home or apartment setting. She’s an athletic, go-go-go kind of gal who thrives when she has an outlet for her energy.She has been around children but would do best in a home with older kids who can respect her size, strength, and need for personal space.In playgroup, Wednesday has done well with younger, active, playful male dogs and has quickly earned the title of “queen of the yard.” She enjoys rough-and-tumble play and would be overwhelming for more laid-back or reserved dogs. Wednesday is looking for a canine companion who can match her energy level and play style, and she has shown a preference for male dogs over female dogs.If you’re an active household looking for a confident, adventurous dog to join you on life’s next trail, Wednesday might just be your perfect match. Come meet her at the shelter and see if she rules your heart, too! Stop by the shelter during regular business hours to visit available pets. From the Foster Home: Pretzel is a high energy, sweet boy, who wants to be with his people and maybe a dog friend too. He shows signs of anxiety upon being separated from his people, he paces back and forth and whines, though I presume that will taper off a bit after having him settle into a new home for a few months. He LOVES walks, gets very excited when the leash comes out. He can pull pretty hard, so tools like a gentle leader or a no-pull harness might be helpful for him. He gets along great with other dogs, though at first he is shy and afraid until he sees that a new dog isn`t going to hurt him. Then he will quickly come out of his shell and play and romp around with a big smiley face, tongue hanging out of his mouth and all. He is super trainable. He wants to do the right thing, and is somewhat food motivated, though I think he`s more praise motivated. He settles down when he`s alone with his people, but is antsy during transitions. He`s a gorgeous boy, and will make a great family dog for an active family who wants their K9 companion with them most of the time. He hasn`t shown any aggression toward other dogs, or kids.The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DHPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), and Strongid (wormer).Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online.If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510.
